Guest matanglawin Posted October 30, 2003 Report Share Posted October 30, 2003 i sent an sms to a contact 6 days ago... from that time on...whenever i turn my phone off and back on (from battery charging), i always get a notification that a certain message has been sent. :? upon checking my sent folder, i found out that the message that has been sent over and over in the past few days, was the same sms that i sent to a particular contact 6 days ago. :shock: this is really weird! can anyone (kindly) explain this...?:-k Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
Guest rodnav Posted October 30, 2003 Report Share Posted October 30, 2003 i suggest doing a soft reset to hopefully take care of the problem. if this doesn't work, you may need to edit the cemail.vol where the sms are stored. Guest X3L_NAGA Posted October 31, 2003 Report Share Posted October 31, 2003 ganyan din problem ng phone ko ngayon i deleted some parts of the cemail.vol using dbview whenever i turn my phone on nagsesend pa rin sya sa outbox nya may nakalagay na 2[no sender] [no subject] 2 beses sya nagsesend di ko pa natry yung hard reset kung gagana well post ko na lang dito pag nagawa ko na :) Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

Guest matanglawin Posted October 31, 2003 Report Share Posted October 31, 2003 @rodnav tried soft reset...it didn't work. :( i dont have the apps that can edit cemail.vol...also, ano ba dapat burahin dun? @adi116 i deleted all messages in all folders then did a soft reset...that seemed to work. :)/ however, i noticed that 1 message cannot be deleted from the outbox...parang yung kay X3L_NAGA. funny thing is, you cannot even open it for editing...anyway, it has no receipient so i'm sure it won't be successfully sent to anyone... nakakaasar lang kc ayaw mabura. :evil: @ses message sent talaga...nakakahiya na nga dun sa tao kasi limang araw nya natanggap yung message, minsan more than once pa kc ilang beses ako nag-reset nun. :oops: Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

Coz i once had the same thing in my outbox not to mention in the deleted and sent items folder all at the same time. And all i did was perform the procedure on how to delete Phantom SMS. Guest matanglawin Posted November 3, 2003 Report Share Posted November 3, 2003 @adi116 i don't have the outbox buddy apps on my phone...ano 'yun? @chia_7285 ang alam ko kasing phantom sms...yung may lumalabas na 1 sa sms counter kahit wala naman talagang bagong message sa inbox... sa kasong ito...sa outbox lumalabas yung message na walang receipient, walang laman, hindi mabuksan at ma-edit at higit sa lahat, hindi mabura. Di ko na din matandaan kung kailan first time na nakita ko yung message na yan. Lets ask for help na lang dito sa forum. May I suggest na palitan mo na lang yung title para mas descriptive: Like: Outbox Bug (see page 2) para kasing walang masyado pumapansin kung sms BUG lang. :) Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

Guest gpcarreon (MVP) Posted November 3, 2003 Report Share Posted November 3, 2003 1 outbox entry lang ba? Suggestions: 1. Phantom SMS/ E-mail Fix (meron na sa How To Repossitory) 2. Try nyo po gamit ng dbView then under Storage Cardcemail.vol, look for fldrxxxxxxxx na may 1 record lang (kita mo via menu -> properties), delete nyo yung record then finally restart phone.... 1 sa 6 fldr dito corresponds to your "Outbox" folder. Di ko lang ma-pin point kung alin dun sa natitirang 5 fldr. Case to case basis kc..so kung nasa Outbox mo are 2 entries, then look for "fldr" name with 2 records. Yung sample ko kasi is the "Deleted Items" folder which, nung time na kumuha ako ng screenshots ng dbView, may 1 deleted item ako sa "Deleted Items" folder na tumugma naman sa 1 Record na naka register sa dbView. :) I hope I make sense here. Notice that meron akong 6 folders and na mention ko kanina na yung fldr3100001a is for the 'Deleted Items" folder. Ngayon lang, nalaman ko na yung: fldr3100001b is for the "Drafts" folder. fldr31000017 is for the "Inbox" folder. fldr31000019 is for the "Sent Items" folder. So bale, ang di na lang ma-confirm ay kung para saan yung: fldr32000016 fldr31000018 Ano significance nito? Using DBView,browse under IPSMcemail.vol, delete the record in folder fldr32000018. 2. Restart the phone. 3. I noticed, nawala na yung entry kaya lang meron pa ding count Outbox(1). AS A RECAP... adi salamat sa pagconfirm nung fldr31000018 as the OUTBOX FOLDER. salamat din sa lahat ng nag reply. This case is considered solved.
