Hi David,

Thanks for the reply. Only problem I have with that is the camera. They must be releasing one with an open section for the cam on the E200?

Thanks again

Leon

Slightly different question here, but does anyone know where you can get a decent POUCH for the E200 - I mean a full material, or leather case that completely encloses the phone, and doesn't allow the phone to be used until taken out of the pouch - quite often these attach to the belt, but in a horizontal, length ways orientation, as opposed to the vertical normal up and down covers/cases.

I'm sure some of you will know what I mean.

Does anyone know where you can get a good one of these cheap, as in this case, I am sure a normal E100 one would therefore fit an E200 SPV...

Any ideas anyone?

In bulgaria i bought a handfull of sp100 cases - fully transparent apart from zip around the edge, so front and back is fully transparent (ie camera compatible on e200). cost about £1 or less!

Also got some nokia ones that fit the original spv nice and snug!

Check market stalls etc - much lower profile, better made and less geeky then leather ones.

I recently purchased this case for my E200 from Covertec

the site has a few other pictures

Covertec

Its a nice fit, the only problem i have found is that when removing the phone when ringing the joystick can be pressed the call can be answered, but other than that Excelent

Has anyone yet found a good tight fit case for the e200? I like the look of the Krussel Case, but surely it has to be different to allow the joystick to be used effectively? I have heard that it is no good for the e200 due to the fact that sometimes it holds the joystick down + answers calls automatically.

Not too fussed about a camera view area, just want to keep the phone in good condition, and would prefer not to have to take it out of the case to answer calls, like in the full leather pouch.

Any ideas would be great,

Thanks in advance

Matt

I have the Krussell case and use it on my E200. I think it's great.

Yeah, there is no cut-out for the camera at the back, but I can live with that. There are cut-outs for everything else including the joystick.

I got mine from PDA Addons on Ebay, SPV at PDA Addons

The case came and it is a tight fit, but I feel a lot better knowing my E200 is now covered.

I am also considering the lack of hole for the camera as a protective feature :)

Only downsides are it is difficult to put the phone in the desktop cradle with the case on, but I don't want to scratch the phone with the zip constantly removing it. :?

It also makes it a little less secure in my car holder for some reason (even though the clamp is adjustable).

The plastic front does seem a little tight across the buttons, but I haven't experienced any problems yet. There is a substantial cut-out for the joystick, so it is free to move.

NB Some of the pictures of this case you see on the net are very misleading - they hide the zip.

Trust me on this one guys.....

I was using a case on e200 which i thought was ok in terms of size. couple of weeks later i noticed problems with my joystick, luckily it hadn't been 28 days yet so they sent me a new one!!

Been using my case for a few weeks now. Very happy with it. Phone fully protected and looks very smart!!

Syncs fine in the cradle, no problem. I virtually NEVER have this out the case as I dont use the cam much. On the odd occasion when I want to show off I may take it out... and then the benifits of the case really show!!

This case is the nuts! Now need car clip... anyone know where i can get this from?

I've found the Krusell car clip here Krusell Car Holder Kit £6.95 + £2.50 (P&P in the UK)

I'm tempted, has anyone tried one of these?

I currently have the Orange frebbie vent clip phone holder but its not working to well. I have no where to use a sticky pad at the right angle.

I thought I'd ask the "horses mouth" about the availability of a proper case for the E200 - and this is what I got back.....

Dear Mark,

Yes, there are plans to produce a case for the SPV E200, it should be out in the stores around mid March.

And as you mention it will feature a opening for the camera aswell.

Let me know if you have further questions.

Best regards,

Peter

I've still got the screen protector on mine, but I'm not sure how long it'll last - the phone lives in my pocket in the absense of a case, so it probably won't last long

I've tried a few of the links mentioned in this thread - most point to shops on eBay, but no-one seems to have a Krusell E100 case....anyone know a good source with plenty of stock?

ive got one of those orange cases for the e200 only trouble is sometimes when taking it out i press the red button and fail to get the call , but it does keep the phone covered only i find having to wear a belt all the time just for a phone a pain, on the cover for the e100 you can do as the orange man said go to a leather shop and have a hole cut in the back for the camera

hoping that when the xphone is realesed, o2 might get some one to make a phone skin see-through case. or is there any other phone with similar size to the e200 so i can try and fit it it (but then ill have to cut out the joystick and cam hole)

Ditto :)

Took about a month for them to get some in stock though, but they were very apologetic about my long wait, and kept me updated on when they were expecting stock, etc...

Very good service. Unusual for eBay in my experience...
