Just tried to use the hard reset function after my SPVM5000 turned itself off, the battery was at around 90% when this happened.

The screen gives me ths usual choices of pressing X to cancel or 0 to continue. Either choice then turns the device off. I've also tried to reset whilst holding the bulb button and the silver on button. All that happens is that the red light flashes when I touch the reset button with the stylus.

If someone could please advise, I've spend the last 3 hours scouring the internet for a solution, but to no avail, and was hoping to use my device next week for the Sat Nav whilst in France.

Thanks.

Hi, I'm new and I just got a XV6700.

It's been working great, but lately the sound has been acting up. It doesn't work at all when a headset isn't plugged in, completely works on the speakerphone/main speaker when a headset is somewhat plugged in, and then the headset (a stereo iDigi) works in the right/both earbuds when plugged in various ways. My Pocket Pc/phone used to work perfectly. Can anyone help? Thanx!

Hi,

Has anyone been able to sync via bluetooth? I just can't do it, and suspect it might be the toshiba bluetooth drivers on my XP SP2 laptop. It's a Dell 9200 laptop with a Dell truemobile 350 bluetooth module.

When I try to initiate activesync from the M5000, it tells me that 'cannot find an existing bluetooth partnership with a PC that supports activesync. Would you like to set up a partnership now?' So I answer yes, create a new partnership, set up a serial port, add an outgoing port (matched to the laptop activesync connection port), but NOTHING happens!! I go back to the M5000 and try to initiate activesync-back to where I started. it's getting frustrating  Anyone get any suggestions on how to get this working?

Many thanks,

It's probably something silly but the menu options are more involved that other routers I have worked on.

My Orange SPV M5000 is reporting No GSM on the initial Orange boot screen, then No Service in Windows, if I switch to flight mode the phone will not switch back and then I have to to a soft reset to get it back. I have tried various orange contract and PAYG SIMS and have completed a cold reset on the device and still get the same result. Is this likley to be a hardware issue or a porblem with the ROM? I can still get a wireless connection to the local hotspot, just no GSM\GPRS

If it's a ROM issue would flashing to the latest version from Orange fix it?

Thanks

But now I can't open Pocket Informant or Codewallet. I get as message coming up saying it isn't signed with a digital trust cert? When i try to reinstall it says that the install has failed as the prog isn't signed by a digital trust certificate. I can't uninstall either. It doesn't just give me the option of whether I would like to run it as it used to do. I know the contacts are on there as when someone calls their contact details show up but I can't get to them or my stuff in Codewallet. I've hard reset before and by large Sprite has done a good job of keeping the all the backed up stuff ok, but this time all I'm getting is headaches. ;) Both progs are on the SD card and I've tried to reinstall into the phone memory but it still won't have it.

Any ideas anyone,

Cheers,

No, really, I do!

I dropped my O2 XDA Exec (HTC Universal) and the screw holding the screen hinge to the body sheared and the screen is now dangling on the ribbon cable assembly. So, number one and most importantly, I need the screw; does anyone know where I can get one from?

Number two, what does that small PCB in the hinge do? The cable is no longer connected to it but the device is working perfectly OK. How come? Is the ribbon cable really a ribbon cable or is it just a multi-strand single wire that I can just solder back onto the PCB? I can't tell from looking at it.
