Hi everyone

I got the AC100 and tried to root it and install the Gapps (i needed Gmail and Calendar).

I messed around with the adb from Google SDK and i erased the files from "system/apps" by accident

so the device now got stuck on the startup screen (the android logo keeps flashing once per second)

I searched the web alot and found instructions on how to enter recovery mode

so know i have the ac100 conected via USB to my XP machine, and i have installed the nVidia USB recovery driver

(it showed up as APX in the Device Manager once i turned on the recovery mode).

Right now, the restore/update mode doesn't work anymore either (holding the HOME button while turning it on

doesn't show the 2 option update screen)

I have NVFlash downloaded and it sees the device (nvflash --sync displays info the way it should)

Can anyone please help with instructions on how to get my notebook working again?

I'll be pleased with the stock Android, i'd be happy with Cyanogen Mod.

Please help.

Thank you.

This thing looks great. Id love to kick my Orange SF into touch and use one of these.

BUT what i really need is a great internet browser AND i need to be able to download an MKV (ANY MKV) and not have to use my main PC to re encode the file.

Can Tegra2 be powerful enough for me to drag and drop a 720p 3gig MKV file and play 100% fine without ANY slowdown via HDMI on my 40" LCD TV.

Anyone have one or has tested this functionality?

I have a quad core PC with GTX 460 4GB ram etc. However this is in my bedroom and when im in the lounge i dont want to be reliant upon it. Ive since owned a HP DV2 Netbook and other stuff but got rid.

Is this the killer replacement i have been looking for? Touchscreen is not an issue for me.

Currently downloading pkg_020138_04.10.17.TC00340900B.zip

This is the same as the previous update which was on the server from 13th Nov.

ro.build.id=ERD79

ro.build.display.id=PAZ0000.5.0055

ro.build.version.incremental=5.0055

ro.build.version.sdk=7

ro.build.version.codename=REL

ro.build.version.release=2.1

ro.build.date=Tue Aug 24 16:01:09 CST 2010

There are also updates for RDP client, Media Player, File Manager, Screen Capture.

The OS update is a new system image, bootloader.bin, boot.img.

It appears that some of the nvidia libs have been updated.

In order to update this image, you will need the original revocery partion (part5), which is the one used to dual-boot Ubuntu from SD (so hope you backed it up).
