Now should I say that the phone bootloader is unlocked? but why S-ON status changed? When I checked the root status of my phone using #rootchecker, it was negative :(. Even Titanium backup identified that my phone has lost root access. :o

I tried the following to get access to my phone's root, but in vain. :wacko:

Tried to use htcdev.com's instruction to unlock the bootloader (assuming my phone's bootloader is still locked)

Tried to factory reset using the bootloader menu, also in vain.

Now I want to know how to S-OFF my phone and install JB :wub: . If I missed any details, I am happy to provide.

I've managed to get myself in a bit of a pickle. So I wanted to s-off my sensation xe and followed instructions over on xda developers and after performing the "paperclip trick" I achieved s-off. Great!

Only now, I cannot flash any roms or even get CWM as my sd card just registers as blank or unsupported. I cant access it through my pc to format and cant format it from the phone. When I try and boot into recovery I get the picture of a phone with a red cross on.

Some guidance would be much appreciated, I would like to get MIUI on my phone.

This is my first crack and flashing custom roms on this phone, I have previous experience from LG GT540 but that was very simple compared to this,

Basically I want to go full root and custom rom, but the device has come back bright and shiny with HBOOT 1.29.0000 (mar 2 2012) and none of my usual methods are able to unlock that.

I've spotted the juopunutbear method, but no way am I connecting wires to hot points on my device, I'd rather be stuck with S-ON and wait for my next device.

Are there any other solutions / is revolutionary still under development?

since i updated my o2 branded xe to ICS it is constantly crashing....it doesnt hang or anything like that, i just goes off, as iff the batteryhas been pulled...it can do it at anytime, most commonly when im listneing to music on the sd card, or straight after a phone call has hung up...its just done it 5 times in as many minutes just sat on my desk at work....sometimes the battery level has dropped irrationally and drastically....

diggin online basic consensus is that sense 3.6 or which ever it is now sucks all the RAM on he phone and it cant handle it and switches off.....no ideal when your waiting for a call etc.

does anyone have a fix or is it something HTC are looking in to? I have seen that some people have gone through all the apps removing all and linstalling one by for it to still fail no matter whats on, factory reset and it still fail, new phones failing....

or will it be a case of wait for a patch/fix or root? quite like sense so dont fancy loading a 3rd part skin etc

When you install the OTA ICS update for the Sensation XE, it shouldn't do anything to the SD card should it?

I ask because I updated the GFs Sensation XE over the weekend, which went fine, but I didn't back up the SD card beforehand. She is now telling me that all the pictures have gone missing. I suspect that this may be an issue with a funny contact on the SD card, but as I don't have her phone to hand I can't be sure.

I think its time for the next level of mobile entertainment, this time the long awaited upgrade for TripNMiUI.

Hoping some kind soul on modaco might be able to help me with this.....(been at it for a couple of days without success):

- Got the ICS update for the sensation a few weeks ago.

- Wanted to install a custom ROM on it so I: unlocked the bootloader (using the HTCDev method), rooted it and stuck ClockworkMod on there. All good so far.

- Downloaded the custom ROM i wanted and went in to CWM choose the zip. The Rom seem to install fine.

- Rebooted the phone and it got stuck on the HTC logo. I would just sit there for ages and after an hour or so I did a battery pull.

- I downloaded a few more custom ROMs, but again no success, all would hang at the HTC logo.

- Then BAM, it hit me - I didn't have S-OFF (the ICS ota update gave me hboot 1.27). This must be why I can't install custom ROMS.

Now basically, all I want to do is get any ROM (GB, ICS, anything) working on the phone. I've tried a few different things. Used loads of RUUs, all with no success (gets to a certain point and then tells me the update failed).

I don't know why the RUU updates fail (should these work? could it be that I don't have enough internal mem left or something?)

Is there any signed flashable zip that would get me back to ICS stock? (I don't think I can downgrade to lower than ICS as I'm on HBoot 1.27). I could flash this through clockwork mod as I still have access to CWM.

Can anyone help? Totally desperate now.

wipe data/factory reset in recovery

wipe Cache and Dalvik Cache

Set up netwok, go to settings>wireless & networks>network operators and then letting it search it actually failed the first time then press select automatically a few times and then it finally registered, wait a moment and it works, must do this on every boot to get your network working!!!

I DONT WANT COMPLAINING OR FLAMING IN THE TREAD, KEEP IT CLEAN AND IF YOU DONT WANT TO USE DONT REPLY AND DONT DOWNLOAD!!!! ALL IS DONE WITH FULL PERMISSION.

A couple of weeks ago I accidentally dropped it and smashed the screen but only the digitizer needed replacing as everything still worked perfectly.

I found a repair man on the internet and all seemed good - price very reasonable.

I received it back today and the screen is fixed and it works and I was happy but I have realised camera/ camcorder no longer work, call log, sent text messages log doesnt exist anymore and if you get a missed call it still tells you but not who it was from (so useless).

I have contacted the repair guy and he has basically washed his hands of it- says if I want it repaired again then I'll have to pay as it is a seperate problem.

Feel really let down but is there anything I can do? Would a factory reset work or is it caused by repair? Thanks in advance
