German developer Cryptophon (fredvj) has been working on porting CM9 to the Huawei u8860, and it is now nearly all working. I have been using it for the last week or so and it's pretty stable (a lot more so than ShenduOS/MIUI).

It uses the GB baseband (404020) so you need to install Huawei's official gingerbread version, then CWM, then flash this.

Everything pretty much works (or at least I can't think of anything that doesn't :P). Some screenshots attached.

I was wondering which build of ICS is the best? I'm currently on the b925 version. It seems to have a problem with the 3G data switching off and not coming back on after sleeping. There is a few other little issues but the 3g one is the most annoying. I have to reboot to sort out the data connection.

Which one do people have the most stable performance with?

I have just ported the latest MIUIv4 2.12.14 over to our honor.

Problem is that I need to install from gingerbread baseband 404020 as instructed in ChrisDUK's thread, to actually install test and debug the thing...but my device came with ICS.

Any instructions on downgrading? Is it as simple as simply installing something based on official GB? Am I missing something?

Meanwhile if any dev wants a copy to debug, test, etc; leave me a message.

very nice rom...i tried it and for me it is the one i prefer...a must to try for the moment...you can oc (2 max) various governors smartass etc i had a 4001 with antutu bench...try it...

ROM (240mb) - Default language China.

INSTRUCTION

1. Create folder "dload" on SD card

2. Upload UPDATE on "dload"

3. Open "properties->storage->update from SD"

4. Restart

5. Change language.
