Ok hello so i bought the device 3 days ago and have been fixing the b105 nordic europe stock rom since then i have made overclock to 1600mhz and fixed low earphone playback volume and the fix

1.Download the zip file audio.zip

2.extract zip file

3.open your phones root folder and find folder "etc"

4.open folder etc and find folder "huawei" and open it

5.replace the "audio" folder with my fixed folder btw make backup of your original "audio" folder. The folder path is \etc\huawei\audio or system\etc\huawei\audio

EDIT. Added fixed audio folder for b023 vodafone 4.0.3 ics

I was trying to unlock bootloader for Huawei Ascend P1 - LTE (u9202l-1). Unfortunately I used the file for Ascend g300(u8815), Now my phone does NOT power ON. NO fastboot, NO CWM recovery, even screen doesn't show any flash light. 

But when i try to power it ON the Notification light dims. I need your help PLEASE.

So to put things straight, the phone was running Stock 4.0 just fine, and I went ahead trying to root it. It was going well but I accidentally hit something in the recovery which I couldn't read the language of (The method I was following was this http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2037582 )

Now, the phone seems bricked... It is stuck on the Huawei Ascend boot screen (no animation) it has been stuck here for a few hours. Holding the power button down turns it off, but the phone powers itself back on immediately after, and attempting to go into recovery simply does not work. I also am unable to remove the battery until I find a new screwdriver... I am currently waiting for the phone to die in hopes it can boot to recovery... but does anyone have any tips? Thanks.

I've been running JB b315 EMUIv1.5 for some time now. It's a beta ROM but runs quite well on the P1 with JB v4.1.1. This is a european release which has recently been updated to b336 EMUIv1.5. There is an issue with GPS logs filling memory on both of these ROMs that can easily be fixed by altering settings in file gpsconfig.xml. Root required for this.

There have been numerous JB v4.1.1 ROM releases for the Chinese market, b704 and b705 being most recent. I've tried both and I'd steer clear of b705, at least in the UK. I had many issues with network signal instability on the 3 network. b704 doesn't seem to have this problem. Again, both these ROMs exhibit the GPS log issue.

I've also tried the PACman ROM which is based on Cyanogen JB 4.2.2. It's a nice ROM but a couple of apps (youtube in particular) was in a very, very small font. Unreadable for my 50yr old eyes. As was the settings menu. Seemingly no option to increase to a reasonable text size for my eyes.

Now onto the choice I think I'll be staying with. JellyBeer 4.33 CM10.1 JB v4.2.2. It runs without fault and best of all is the battery life which way out-performs any other ROM I've tried.

1. Tried using System Update that comes with the phone, it would almost always restart the phone to TWRP
2. Tried 'Install'-ing incremental package using TWRP, didn't work
3. Tried 'Install'-ing integrated package using TWRP, didn't work
4. Placed UPDATE.APP in both /dload and root of sdcard, but the thing is turning on the phone holding down the volume keys (up, down, up and down--tried them all) doesn't make a difference, it boots into the OS.

I think this is far too expensive for a Huawei-branded phone, and especially one which is only effectively a mid-range phone by today's standards.

For example, I think the Huawei Ascend P1 is comparable (tech spec-wise) to last years flag-ship Samsung phone, the Galaxy S2.

According to play.com, the Galaxy S2 can now be purchased (sim-free, unlocked and brand new) for even cheaper than the Huawei Ascend P1!!

I think that Samsung has by far the better brand recognition and respect (not to mention a far bigger community around the device), so how come Huawei thinks it can sell it's "variation-on-a-Galaxy S2" phone for even more? Personally, if I'm going to blow £350 on a phone and was considering between these two, I think I'd pick the Samsung Galaxy S2 every time.

Connect your phone to your computer and be sure that usb debug is on.

In Settings / Developer options set USB debugging to ON.

2) ADB and Fastboot

You need to have ADB working and Fastboot installed.

They are both installed with Android SDK that you can find here :

Download SDK tools only and uncompress it to your HDD.

Go in tools directory and run Android.

Do the updates and exit.

3) Install CWM

Before begin you need to download CWM thant you can find here :

Copy this file in the platform-tools directory of android sdk.

You need to download this file too :

This file will install su + busybox and will root your phone.

Copy it at the root of your sd card as it, don't uncompress the zip.

Go in the directory platform-tools of the android-sdk

Connect you phone to the computer.

Unfortunatly the bootloader of the P1 is locked (hardware key doesn't work) but it's not a problem.

To reboot in bootloader mode just type in a terminal :

adb reboot bootloader

now we can install CWM just type :

fastboot flash recovery clockworkmod.v6.0.3.u9200.img

finish the installation by typing :

adb reboot recovery

Note to linux's user : use sudo ./fastboot and sudo ./adb

4) Install root

You are now in CWM

First thing and before doing anything go to the menu backup and restore and backup your phone.

(P.S only touchscreen works in this version of CWM, hardware keys don't work)

Go to the menu install zip from sdcard / choose zip from sdcard and select the file SU___Busybox_1.20.2_Flashable.zip

After few seconds the file is installed.

Reboot your phone and enjoy your phone is rooted :D

There's a great community for the G300, but seemingly nothing for the P1?

Bought this great Ascend p2 which is fast and snappy but I miss Android 4.2.2, root access and cyangenmod. Do you know if Its possible to root and Install cm10 and would you be so kind to tell me how? :-)

Huawei just relased an update for the Huawei Ascend P2 which I'm unable to apply as I removed the PlusOne.apk via rootexplorer and the update halts when looking for this file. I tried rename the one from PlayStore and move it to system/app but somehow it doesn't recognize it.

Would you mind sharing your PlusOne.apk as I recall the P1 is on the same JB 4.1.2.

Root access on all firmwares (Ice Cream Sandwich + Jelly Bean) using TWRP

When you've flashed one of your official Huawei firmwares you need to do this.

1. Flash or boot into Teamwin Recovery on your Huawei Ascend P1
   
2. Go to the "Mount" menu and mount System.
   
3. Then go to the Reboot menu and reboot the system.
   
4. When it detects you are not rooted TWRP will ask if you want to root.
   
5. Swipe to do so and let it boot back into the system.
   
6. When done just hit the SuperSU icon and let it setup for the first time. Either by downloading a flashable zip or by going to the Play Store.
   
7. After that you've got a rooted device.
   

Root access on all Huawei Ice Cream Sandwich (4.0.X) firmwares using CWM

Now to get root access on the Ascend P1 I've done it in a couple of different ways.

Download the SuperSU package with Busybox and place it on your external SD card (The card you can put into the side of the Ascend P1)

The easiest way for me was to boot ClockWorkMod Recovery from fastboot.

You need to have ADB and fastboot drivers set up and activated USB debugging on your device.

When that is done you can do some command lines to check the device is recognized and ready to go.

Step 1:

Launch a Command Promt and go to the directory where your ADB is setup.

Step 2:

Connect your device to the computer and make sure USB debugging is activated under the Developers options.

Step 3:

Type in:

ADB devices

and you should get a long unique ID of your device.

Step 4:

Type in:

ADB reboot bootloader

Step 5:

When the phone has rebooted into bootloader (There will just be a Huawei logo) check if the device is responding by typing:

fastboot devices if it's not you need to install the fastboot driver (Android ADB Interface).

Step 6:

If it's there you need to boot to the new CWM recovery by placing the CWM recovery image (cwm_touch_recovery_viva_beta.img) in the same library as your fastboot folder and type:

fastboot boot cwm_touch_recovery_viva_beta.img

Then your phone will reboot into CWM recovery where you can chose the SuperSU package with Busybox zip file and flash it.

That will gain root to your phone.

Step 7 (Optional):

When you're in the CWM recovery you can backup your entire device so you always can get back to it if you need to.

This is done in the back and recovery menu.

HOW-TO Flash these different regions.

If you're coming from a different region firmware than the one you want to flash, you have to do some preparations before it will flash.

This is due to a verification in the recovery and build.prop.

So for this to work you need to have root access on your current firmware.

When you flash a different region firmware the recovery checks the build.prop for matching regions.

The relevant part is at the bottom an looks like this.

There is also a force upgrade mode which you can enter by holding down Volume Up and Volume Down keys right after the vibration when the device boots up.

Installation of EmotionUI B704 with all langauges enabled. SO DON'T SETUP YOUR PHONE RIGHT AFTER YOU'VE FLASHED IT, YOU WILL HAVE TO DO A FACTORY RESET! So if you flash B704 you'll notice when you want to change the locale on it that it only contains 4 languages, some Asian ones and English. To get all languages you'll need to flash a zip in TWRP that I made to enable them again. Procedure:

1. Flash B704 through normal means (stock recovery) If it fails you need to flash the intermediate firmware then flash B704 (intermediate firmware can be found in the download links below).
2. When B704 installation is complete reboot the device to bootloader.
3. From there boot TWRP 2.4.4.0 with the command:

   fastboot boot "recovery_image_name.img" (usually just recovery.img or twrp_recovery.img but can vary)[/code]

   
   

4. Flash GAPPS for 4.1.x (http://goo.im/gapps/...1011-signed.zip)
   
5. Flash my language enabler package - This can be found below in the links section or as an attachment.

Just boot in recovery and make a Wipe / Factory Reset, them install zip from sd card.

Moved files from /system to /data/cust to fix /sysyem to 500 Megas.

Removed some "useless" (samples, mostly) and the more sized tones (space is needed)

Moved to /data/app all Google's app that can be downloaded from Google Play, so you can uninstall as user if you don't like some.

Deleted Facebook and Twitter.

Now, support for Onlie Themes.

No more app o files have been changed, so ROM is almost as the original.
