Why do I need to unlock? What does unlocking a phone mean?

When you buy a phone from a certain operator at a subsidised cost they are normally locked to that same network, which means you can't use any other network's SIM card until you unlock it with the code that the operator more than likely will not give you until your contract is over. Such phones are locked to with their network SIM cards only and wil ask for a network code if you try to use another SIM in the locked phone. Our service is for Unlocking such phones with a genuine unique code from the factory database. How do I enter the code?

Entering the code for Huawei phones is very simple.

1. Insert a non-accepted SIM card in the phone and power on
2. If the phone is locked, it will ask for "Network Unlock PIN" or " Network Unblock/Reset code"

Ff the phone is blocked by entering too many wrong codes previously (no worries) then you wlll have to first enter unblock code we provide to unblock the counter and then the network code to unlock it permanently.

Which terms apply?

Codes are guaranteed correct if you enter the correct IMEI number as displayed when entering *#06# on the dialler (do NOT take it from the box/sticker)!

It's doesn't seem to see track# tags at all and ignores the track number on the start of file names???

Finally Huawei has deigned to put the G300 (all variants except the U8818) in the list of supported models for official code request.

Now is not necessary to use alternative methods, as sending the request to mobile@huawei.com or similar, from now any method other than it is obsolete, now this is the Official method.

We just need to enter the data that are required in the following web:

ELEMENTS NEEDED:

PRODUCT MODEL: You must select yours between all variants.

S/N (Serial Number): You must turn off the phone, remove the battery and then have your S/N on a white sticker.

IMEI: On the phone dial (numeric keys) you must input *#06# and we will get it.

If Zip files are allowed to be uploaded which I tried to upload, and I got the "E:Signature verification failed. Installation aborted" error . My zip files is called META-INF.zip . Inside META-INF.zip i.e. extracting , there are 4 files and a folder : -

a.)android.rsa - certificate

b.)manifest.mf

c.)cert.sf

d.)"com" folder - having update-binary and update-script

e.) build.prop - which has been edited in notepad by adding a code to enable usb debugging 

The reason I am uploading this META-INF.zip is to be able to enable USB debugging , which I learned that I could do by uploading the META-INF.zip file, by reading some articles in the internet , specifically https://www.isrgrajan.com/articles/computer/mobile/how-to-enable-usb-debugging-in-android-using-recovery-mode/

So to prevent signature verification error, should the signature of STOCK ROM must be same as the signature of the file uploaded ? . I dont know anything about signing zips or signature . 

I have never ever rooted or installed a custom ROM . My phone's touchscreen will never work cause there is a problem in the phone's board itself which cant be traced or repaired and thus even if I install a new touchscreen, it wont work . And because the touchscreen wont work , it is risky to attempt rooting .

My aim is to retrieve the data in my internal memory , and not necessarily to get the phone back to working condition .

If I succeed in enabling USB debugging , I could control the phone from PC using Android Screencast or I could use ADB; and thus save or copy my internal memory . I have the following doubts .

1.)Is the signature of STOCK Rom called a signature test key or something ? Where do i get the signature of the Stock Rom - Is it in build.prop file? If not , could I get the signature from Huawei by asking them or sending a mail requesting the signature ? 

2.)Should the signature of ROM match the signature of the Zip file OR any specific files inside the Zip file like for e.g. android.rsa(certificate) OR should the signature of all files i.e. build.prop, manifest.mf etc.... all of them be the same as that of the ROM ?

3.)Thus if I get the signature test key of ROM , can I sign the zip file or any other file myself using an external program so that the sign matches the ROM's signature ? Cause I saw a program by someone which allows us to sign zip files . And just like signing zip files , could other files inside the META-INF.zip like android.rs, build.prop , etc... be signed too using some software ? 

3.) What is the update-binary file and update-script file and what are the uses of it ?

 Please help .

i dont have access to fastboot, recovery, nothing

so i just forgot about it and got a new phone, now i grabbed it again and noticed that if i connect it to my pc it did recognize the phone

looking at the hardware ID i found the driver for it labeled as "Qualcomm HS-USB QDLoader 9008"

i tried opening it with QPST and it recognizes it as "Q/QCP-XXX" and that its on "download" state

is there still any chance to be able to unbrick this phone?

the conclusion is quite simple:

1. go to this awesome guide http://www.modaco.co...l-ics-403-b926/

2. follow the steps from roughly half of the second step

• Boot in to freshly installed ICS, install ADB drivers from the ISO mounted on the phone, enable USB debugging and then connect USB cable - make sure adb works.
  
• At this point it is wise to remove the dload folder from the sdcard so you do not mistakenly re-flash the update (thanks to tronads for pointing this part out).
  
• Download 'unlockbootloader.exe' from http://www.modaco.co...attach_id=81949
  
• Run 'unlockbootloader.exe' and click 'ROOT Your Phone' - a console will appear and then close, after this open the app drawer and check that Superuser.apk has been installed OK, if so, you now have root.
  
• Run 'unlockbootloader.exe' again and this time click 'Unlock BOOTLOADER' - you should see the capacitive buttons flash on your phone and the app will close on completion.
  
• Power off your phone, remove battery for a few seconds and replace, then power on whilst holding vol. down and power to go in to fastboot - the phone will hang on the splash screen whilst in fastboot.
  
• Once this is done, follow the instructions to install clockworkmod recovery from either ( http://www.modaco.co...15ascend-g-300/ ) or ( http://www.modaco.co...-and-i-cant-do/ ). Which link you go to is your choice.
  

After you have followed all the steps above you will have the new ICS B926 and CWM installed.

Now might be a good time to download and install Gapps. To do this download the following file ( http://goo.im/gapps/...0429-signed.zip ) and copy it to your SDCard (be sure that you copy it to the SDcard and NOT the internal 2gb). Then boot in to recovery (power off, pull battery and replace, then hold vol. up and power on) and flash the gapps zip file you just downloaded and then do a wipe/factory reset - this will make sure you get the full google setup on next boot.

3. Then follow this guide to install cwm

3.Installing Clockwork Mod Recovery.

Some users have had issues with flashing this so i have done some text editing of some of Pauls scripts for his root method to make a similar one click install for Clockwork Mod Recovery. I have bundled the latest version by Sebastian as of the 5th May 2012. So please first of all,

3a. Download this file first. Easy CWM Recovery Installer. Now extract the zip file to a suitable location. On your phone press Menu, Settings, Applications, Development. Make sure USB Debugging is enabled.

3b. Power off your phone and pull the battery. Replace the battery and power on your phone with the volume DOWN key pressed.

3c. The same as Pauls root Installing your phone will now stick on the Huawei logo. Plug in your USB cable.

3d. Same as Pauls still...

For WINDOWS - double click 'install-cwmrecovery-windows.bat'

For MAC - Open a terminal window to the directory containing the files, and type 'chmod +x install-cwmrecovery-mac.sh' followed by './install-cwmrecovery-mac.sh'

For LINUX - Open a terminal window to the directory containing the files, and type 'chmod +x install-cwmrecovery-linux.sh' followed by './install-cwmrecovery-linux.sh'.

3.e When finished, you can put your device in recovery mode by turning off the phone, pulling the battery and USB cable, wait a few seconds, replace the battery then turn on with the 'volume UP' button pressed to enter recovery.

Note that to navigate the menus you use the volume keys and the home button makes a selection. Back obviously goes back.

4. You should be up and runnin by now :))

In all those tutorials i coudn't find a proper link to download those programs to do those stuff, because links are outdated and are not working.

The only thing i managed, i think i managed i am not even sure, is to root phone since i have SuperSU showed up in menu.

EDIT: Something apperently went wrong, now the phone is in boot loop, and nothing but volume + and - and power together works, and then it shows pink screen. How can i put it back in original state?

I am lost my 5irom folder with my IMEI backup.. And my Imei was 0.Now I have my Imei back and I do this:

1. You must enter the engineering menu. Dial * # * # 2846579 # * # *

2. Go to ProjectMenu/Background setting/Usb ports setting and select Manufacture mode

3. Back to Background setting and go to Qualcomm background open setting and select background open (pass is 0 (ZERO))

4. Exit the engineering menu and turn on USB debugging (settings/developer tools/usb debugging)

5. Restart the phone

6. On PC install the DFS Tool (http://cdmatool.com/Demo).Connect the phone and run DFS tool.

7. Go to Ports and double click on dbAdapter Reserved Interface.

8. Close the Ports window and click on SPC.In DFS log must write UNLOCKED DEVICE.

9. If this OK go to Programming and type your IMEI in right place. (you can read Imei from phone box)

10. Click write.

11. When all finish go to ports and disabe dbAdapter Reserved Interface.Unplug your phone.

12. Go to engineering menu again.

13. Go to ProjectMenu/Background setting/Usb ports setting and select Normal mode

14. Back to Background setting and go to OTP NV filter switch and click Confirm

15. Back to Background setting and go to Qualcomm background open setting and select background close.

16. Restart Phone.

Thats all.. you now have YOUR IMEI!!! Dial *#06# for check.

just wondering if anyone has tried to repartition the internal memory of the G300? it would be nice to be able to use some of the spare system space to increase data partition.

Before everything, make sure your phone is charged!

I've found 3 situations:

1. Phone stuck at Huawei logo and CWM can be accesed:

• Enter CWM
  
• Wipe Data and Cache
  
• Go to mounts & storage -> format \system
  
• Go to advanced -> wipe dalvik cache
  
• Flash any custom rom you want, but pay attention to the baseband!
  
  2. Phone stuck at Huawei logo and CWM is not accesible:
  • Download the official ICS firmware from Huawei (b952): http://www.huaweidevice.com/worldwide/downloadCenter.do?method=toDownloadFile&flay=software&softid=NDcwMjk=
    
  • Put the dload folder on your external SD Card and insert it into your phone
    
  • While the phone is turned off, press the VolumeUp + VolumeDown buttons at the same time and then press the power button, holding the three at the same time
    
  • A pink bar should show up and the update procces will start
    
  • Give it time and when it's ready it should boot on ICS
    

  3. Phone doesn't respond to anything

  [*]In this case, it might be a dead battery. Replace the battery with anotherone and see if the phone boots. If the phone still doesn't boot, it is a dead phone and you have to send it back to Huawei and ask for a replacement.

  Hope this helps the people having trouble with their G300.

Seeing that Huawei is already starting to spread the codes, I created two scripts very intuitive to unlock the Bootloader Officially:

The first is called "Unlock-Bootloader.bat" and is used to unlock the bootloader with the code you gave Huawei. The same script asks you to enter the code at some point.

The second is called "Check-Status.bat" and is used to check the status of the bootloader (if it's locked or unlocked) and can be used before and after of the unlock to check that everything went well.

I haven't put README or instructions because scripts are integrated fully intuitive and interactive and at all times it will tell you what to do.

NOTE: First of all, you must have installed the drivers for the phone, here you can download: http://www.solidfile...m/d/7318df4f59/

NOTE 2: If you have the bootloader unlocked with an unofficial method, for example with unlockbootloader.exe, or any other unofficial method, WE MUST RETURN TO CLOSE IT BEFORE THE OFFICIAL UNLOCK. To do this, you must install an UPDATE.APP (any of ICS) and then we can officially unlock.

NOTE 3: Is possible that the antivirus will detect it as a virus because scripts are in .bat format. If this happens, you must disable the antivirus temporarily until finish to make the whole process, I guarantee you that there is no virus.

Now when you finish with that you can go to Toolbox5irom.apk on your phone and make a backup of UNLOCKED IMEI of your phone.

I have no prior experience with all this but I try to be (well) informed before I will attempt to do my upgrade from GB to latest CM11 / KK4.4.4.

I have a Huawei Ascend G300 (U8815) running stock 2.3.6, baseband 109808, build B894.

I understand the three main steps are: rooting -> install CWM -> install custom rom.

As far as I understand, my baseband 109808 comes with unlocked bootloader (only 2030 requires unlocking).

But reading this confused me: update baseband to 2030. Is that deprecated info? Should I use ICS/B952 update?

Here I don't see any mention about the baseband.

Is it really needed to update my baseband to 2030? if yes, how do I do it? (the B952 link on that page is dead).

And, not so important, why? (recent ROMs / CM11 handle both basebands, right?)

I want to understand what is the most clean/easy/up-to-date way to do this upgrade and not miss any steps required.

a while ago I sent my G300 off for repair and when I got it back they had upgraded it to ICS (without asking). Now I want to downgrade it as I prefer GB, so I have downloaded the official downgrade from Huawei and started reading the instructions, but it says:

This update requires software version U8815V100R001C02B936 or software
version U8815V100R001C02B937 to be installed on your phone. Please check your
Software version in the system settings Menu/ System settings/ About phone/ Build
number . If your phone does not show either of the two software versions, do not
attempt to install this update.

well mine is showing U8815V100R001C02B961

does this basically mean I can't/shouldn't go ahead, or is it nothing to worry about? It looks like i have a later version – or is it not as simple as a bigger number is later?
