I can turn on the phone and use it normally but its little bit slow.
I can't enter recovery mode, when I hold volume up and power button android logo shows up and thats it.It gets stuck there.

I have a ZTE Blade 3 with stock ROM from a local operator in my country.

The devices started to show a lot of problems recently:

• Settings are not saved at all (when I set some setting and then re-enter the menu, it's rolled back to what it was before).
• Not able to have *ANY* connectivity (no cellular data, no WiFi, cannot send/receive files with Bluetooth)
• The device is recognized on Windows with USB, but I cannot browse the device as it looks empty in explorer.
• The device isn't listed on "adb devices" (probably because "USB Debugging" setting isn't saved as all other settings).
• Plenty of "force close" and other error messages from many user and system apps showing up all the time.

I can enter "FTM" mode and download mode (with black screen and red led light), but also then the device isn't listed on "adb devices".

It seems that I can install an "update.zip", and that's also the only way I can enter  recovery mode.

I suspect it's a hardware issue, like a corrupt EMMC or some other internal problem.

My target now is to backup everything I can, and then attempt to format and re-install stock ROM from scratch, hoping it's a software issue after all.

The problem is I can't install any backup application due to lack of connectivity, and neither install APKs that I put on the SD card due the inability to tick "Trust unknown sources" (as I said, settings are not being saved).

I tried to create a custom "update.zip" with "updater-script" that pushes APKs to "/system/app", but no matter how I sign it (with "signapk.jar" or copying "META-INF" folder from a stock ROM), it always shows me "Signature verification failed" or "Whole-file signature verification failed".

I'm about to give up and try to "Wipe data / factory reset" (I'm not even sure it will work).

Before I do it, can anyone please guide me what can I do at this point in order to backup my app data and messages? 

Maybe I must use a special and specific ".pk8" and ".pem" key files in order to sign "update.zip" for the ZTE Blade 3? So far I used the test keys from Google and self-created keys by me.

    TAIWAN MOBILE AMAZING X7 Device make of ZTE product with stock ROM from a local operator in my country.  /  In operating system i cant get in ,and i think rom corrupt , and i can't get into FTM mode also . when i try wipe data format it also fails . and i try to find rom for this product model no ( P839V56 ) but i cant find , some website suggest me that ZTE blade s6plus can suites this but i try to change it shows the product verification is failed because of product mismatch.

  If u have any solution kindly suggest me , I'm waiting for it.

My phone is a ZTE Blade III purchased in France that had been running a version of Cyanogenmod for 2 years without a problem. I was just using it normally, just installed this mod when I got it and never tampered again with its hardware or software. Yesterday I plugged my phone to charge, saw the red light as usual, and went to bed. During the night I happen to wake up, see the green light meaning it's fully charged, and sleep again. Today, as I wake up the phone has no light, I unplug it and try to power it up but it won't. Tried to keep the power on button for several seconds (sometimes the phone would just not power up and this would make it power up), doesn't work. So as I heard about hard reset, soft reset etc, I try to find this kind of information for my phone on internet and end up on modaco where it seems most questions about this phone are being answered. So far I tried power and + for a minute, power and - for a minute, power and + and - for a minute, then I reinstalled the driver package on my computer, and tried holding + and - while plugging the USB cord with or without battery, all these don't work for me. Plugging the phone to the charger has no effect, no light. It looks like the device is not powered at all. Basically it is the definition of a brick.

Is it a brick ? Or is there a way to revive it ?

PS : interestingly, when I plug it to USB, a RELINK HS-USB QDloader 9008 (COM5) device appears in my "Printers and Devices" menu on Windows, but I guess it's just USB hardware on the phone and it  doesn't mean the rest of the hardware is OK..

This recovery is fully working with goodies such as repeatable keys and adb sideload support. Use volume keys to navigate menus and power button to select.

Do not use this recovery to flash official updates from ZTE website! You need to repack them for ClockWorkMod or use the stock recovery to install.

How to make clean ROM dump/backup of your device (before you root or install cwm): (recommended)
1. download ZTE USB drivers
2. download and install Android SDK tools and platform-tools to get adb and fastboot
3. download recovery-cwm60xx-atlas40.img recovery image
4. create a new directory somewhere and copy adb.exe, fastboot.exe and recovery-cwm60xx-atlas40.img into it
5. plug in your device via USB cable and install drivers (make sure you've enabled USB debugging on your device)
6. change into the directory you've created and execute following commands in terminal window (boots into recovery instead of flashing it)

adb reboot bootloader
fastboot boot recovery-cwm60xx-atlas40.img

7. select backup & restore -> backup (Seriously, always backup your device before you install anything!)

How to install ClockWorkMod Recovery (windows):
1. download ZTE USB drivers
2. download and install Android SDK tools and platform-tools to get adb and fastboot
3. download recovery-cwm60xx-atlas40.img recovery image
4. create a new directory somewhere and copy adb.exe, fastboot.exe and recovery-cwm60xx-atlas40.img into it
5. plug in your device via USB cable and install drivers (make sure you've enabled USB debugging on your device)
6. change into the directory you've created and execute following commands in terminal window

adb reboot bootloader
fastboot flash recovery recovery-cwm60xx-atlas40.img
fastboot reboot

7. congratulations, you have installed cwm on to your device
8. boot into ClockWorkMod by pressing volume up (or down) while powering on or using 'adb reboot recovery'
9. select backup & restore -> backup (Seriously, always backup your device before you install anything!)

How to root your device via recovery:
1. download root app of your choice (ChainsDD's Superuser, Koush's Superuser, Chainfire's SuperSU) and save it to your sdcard
2. follow instructions on how to install/boot ClockWorkMod recovery
3. install zip from sdcard -> choose zip from sdcard -> root-app-of-your-choice.zip

If you have already gained root access with some other root method, you can flash recovery using Terminal Emulator:
1. copy recovery-cwm60xx-atlas40.img to the root of your phone's sdcard
2. execute following commands in terminal emulator

su
dd if=/sdcard/recovery-cwm60xx-atlas40.img of=/dev/block/mmcblk0p17

How to restore stock recovery:
1. Follow instructions in ZTE Blade III stock ROMs thread

NOTICE: NOT WORKING ON WINDOWS 8!

If you have WINDOWS 8 install VM Ware Player and install WINDOWS XP (recomended), Vista or Win 7.

I'll give you direct instructions but i won't write a tutorial on the subject because i simply don't have the time.

I'm going to ask you to unpack it to c:\DFU, it's unimportant where you actually unpack it but i'm using that path in my instruction.

1. Since you have the drivers installed i'll skip this step.

2. Download and unpack http://www.mediafire.com/?xwp44vbn4hfb4th  to c:\DFU

3. Start your phone in DFU mode (press and hold vol- and vol+ as you attatch the USB cable)

4. Use the filemanager (explorer) to navigate to c:\DFU and start the executable MAL_DFU_tools.exe

5. On the upper right side, enter c:\DFU\update1

6. On the left side ONLY click the checkbox next to recovery.img MAKE SURE ALL OTHER CHECKBOXES ARE CLEAR

7. On the lower right side there are two buttons, click the one to the left

8. Wait for the process to finish, remove the back cover and the battery, wait a few seconds and insert it again

9. Press and hold vol+ and power until you get to CWM recovery, flash whatever ROM you'd like.

I don't know if this will work since i don't know what you have done with your phone and you refuse to point me to the file you tried to install but the alternative is to get a dd from someone elses phone.

As I understand now this was very stupid and I have bricked it. I find now that the phone is identified as a qualcomm 9008 download mode phone.

I am using the ZTe blade image flasher but i need to find the correct firmware.

Can you explain, where is the carrier info for the lock saved, is it in NVRam or somewhere else? I made a backup via QPST so I can preserve the IMEI.

Changes to N880E version:

• fixed wifi and bluetooth (N880E has Broadcom wifi/bt, we have Atheros/Qualcomm)
• added Google Keyboard

Everything should work to CM10 standards except FM radio. Don't expect anything to be fixed (fix it yourself). I don't plan to use/support this ROM. It was just something I played around with for couple of hours. I just thought I'd share it because it's been requested several times and it seems to work well enough.

Skype is the same.

The funny thing is the Voice Recorder works OK, so it can't be the microphone.

I have reset the phone but unfortunately that didn't resolve the problem
