Anybody noticed that the phone can't remember the date and time while it's switched off? When you turn it on, if there's no cell service, you don't get a date and time.

Anybody notice that sometimes when you turn the phone on, it forgets a bunch of settings. Things like voicemail setup, schemes, ringtones, power settings, not to mention the whole partnership when you sync? Any idea on what gets nerfed?

I don't know a fix for the time issue. However, for other things ... if you store something under windows then it goes away on the next battery replacement. If you store it under storagewindows (for 2003 ... IPSMwindows for 2002) ... then it will be retained.

Any directory not under the Storage directory is stored in a RAM area that shadows over ROM. So, what MS and verizon put there stays ... all else goes when the battery is removed. Anythink under Storage is in an internal flash memory.
