My lasts two days on 700MH, check your settings: Settings - Power Management - back light timeout and display timeout. Otherwise screen is turned on = battery drain.

Also disable: Settings - Beam.

Me too! I've bought a 1300 mah battery and last for only 12 hours! Even if I don't use it! I turn on and I put it on the table. 12 hours later I open the flip and... WHAT?!? Phone is dead??! Where are the 110 hours on standby that mitac claims???????

  Idea! Maybe Someone can program a little app that acts like Smartphone Turbo but, instead to overclock the cpu to 300mhz (I know that isn't a true overclock, so don't reply for this) it DOWNCLOCKS the cpu to 25Mhz. More slower is the cpu, less energy draining!

Or a software who, when the flip is closed, turns OFF the cpu.

I've 3 batteries and I have to use all of them for arrive at night use

Mitac!!!! I hate you!!! Give me back my money!!!!!

beam is disabled

but channels is enabled (but list is empty) and when I try to disable them i get an error: can't save the setting

in my zone cell signal is high - 4-3 bars of intensity

My current battery is 1300mah

It's IMPOSSIBLE!!!

go to:

http://www.smartphonethoughts.com/index.ph...c2bd8ab6564b7f9

I never felt the worries of charging with this phone. On a full charge I was able to get 55 minutes of talk time, and 48 hours of standby. Of course those 48 hours had a fair amount of button pushing, picture taking, and just plain playing around.

70 to 100 hours Battery life in Standby, 2 to 3 hours talk time;

http://www.smartphonethoughts.com/index.ph...c2bd8ab6564b7f9

The Mio 8390 is solidly built, very sleek looking phone with fairly good battery life and a nice dose of speed.

It's impossible...

Weird!

I have a vodafone sim card. My sister've a wind sim card.

We have swapped our phones. My sister took my 8390 and i took an old ericsson (a great free upgrade for her ;) )

With the wind sim card, phone lasted for 70 hours, making video, calls and photos.

With my vodafone sim, phone die after 12 hours!!!

Any suggestions? Wind is too expensive for my usage, so don't say: buy a wind sim.

Or is this the problem: my phone have gprs configurated for vodafone only and not for wind, so it can't connect to internet. I have a "pay to use gprs" and it don't seems to do "illegal" connections?

Or is sponsored by wind? :D

I'm italian and i have vodafone sim card. My mitac die after 2/3 day. I don't use gprs.

If you use gprs, after first time, connection is mantained active until reboot phone. There isn't traffic but only connection.

My firmware version is:

4.20.0 build 13349

Radio: R4.0.4 MBE43036-01-SCR5930 p2

It is european and multilanguage version

i found a 1100 battery on ebay for 6$.

Quality is better than the mitac one! Really, it fit REALLY well, not like the mitac one!!

Life? Worst than the 860 but slightly better than the 750.

Actually i'm using the 860.

The principal defect is.... there isn't the wm logo :D

Brand is LULU ;)

It's thicker and heavier

I've found what is the reason of quick-dying batteries! Vodafone in Italy works on 900/1800Mhz while wind only uses the 1800mhz band. So, when is the vodafone sim inserted, phone must use 2 frequencies and die after 12 hours while when the wind sim is inserted, phone uses only the 1800mhz band.

This is very odd.

My radio version is: R4.0.4 MBE42057-01 P2.

I tried to flash FOUR types of ROM, but the RF version remains the same...

(tried version from R42 to R44)

I've flashed with the falcon R02 software with offset set to zero

Any solution?

There's a way to backup the rf rom like the flash rom?

Or in some chinese pack is included a rf rom?

Or maybe, like the band selector program to force the phone to use ONLY ONE band..

Help me, I'm losing the 20% of charge every 4 hours without using it

I must be in the same situation as you magnetic, but with orange in the UK instead. A band selecting program would work like a charm...

Since I installed the RF update, battery life raised by a fair 1000%

Now it lasts 4 days. Ohhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh
