TTqvga -> TomTom Mobile 5 on a SP5, C550

Hi all,

I have been using TomTom on my C550 for a couple of months now with no problems at all,

1 - The TTQVGA tool is not worth trying, I could never get it to work properly, you need the official TomTom update for QVGA screens from their website, folow the instructions on the website to the letter

2 - I use a third party GPS unit, make sure the TomTom settings are set to 'other GPS unit'

3 - You will not incur any extra charges while using the software unless, as previously pointed out by patapom, you use the traffic service

4 - The traffic service is POO, and very inaccurate

5 - Make sure you go to pocketgpsworld.com to get their excellent speed camera database

all in all I find TomTom is an excellent satnav app and well worth buying, I personally have never had any problems, but maybe I was lucky!
