02 gprs and MMS not working on spv c550

hey guys so I got a spv c550 off me mate and i unlocked it so i could have an 02 sim in it now i loooked on here for the settings for gprs mms and that lot, anyways i've always thought mine was an 02 genie sim because i get free txts everytime i top up, so i tried all the genie setting on here and i ddint work always came up asking me to check my proxy and dial up connections, so i though "what the hey" and tried the prepaid settings and i get now " the page you are looking fir cannot be found" thats for google so i think im getting a bit further but what can the problem be? i have followed the guides to the bone but nothing seems to be working?

You should have something like this.

Make sure you delete all existing dialup, proxy and GPRS connection first.

Start>Settings>Data Connections>Menu>Edit Connections

GPRS Connection:

Description: O2 GPRS Wap

Connects to: The Internet

Access point: payandgo.o2.co.uk

Username: payandgo

Password: password

Primary DNS: 0.0.0.0

Secondary DNS: 0.0.0.0

I.P address: blank

Proxy connection:

Description: O2 WAP proxy

Connects from: The Internet

Connects to: Wap Network

Proxy(name:port): 193.113.200.195:8080

Type: HTTP

Username:

Password:

In the main data connections menu make 'WAP connection: O2 GPRS WAP'

In Internet explorer, Menu-Options-Connections, untick 'automatically detect settings' and make 'Select network: WAP network.

MMS setup

GPRS connection: (use whichever APN, username,password that works above)

Description: O2 MMS

Connects to: Secure WAP network

Access point: payandgo.o2.co.uk

Username: payandgo

Password: password

Primary DNS: 0.0.0.0

Secondary DNS: 0.0.0.0

I.P address: blank

In the main data connections menu.

Secure wap connection: O2 MMS

Start>Messaging>Media Messages>Menu>Options>Account Setup>Media Messages

Menu- Edit connections - Menu- Add

Server: O2 MMS

Download Messsages: automatically

Outgoing message size: less than 100kb

Allowed message types: personal

Menu>Edit connections

Description: O2 MMS

MMSC Address: http://mmsc.mms.o2.co.uk:8002

Data Connection: Secure WAP network

Gateway: WAP 1.0 Gateway

I.P Address: 193.113.200.195

Port: 9201

What page are you trying to connect to ?

Do you get the same error when connecting to http://www.google.com ?

Do you definitely only have one proxy connection created ?

Try deleting it and recreating the proxy connection agin and make sure it looks like this.

Description: O2 WAP proxy

Connects from: The Internet

Connects to: Wap Network

Proxy(name:port): 193.113.200.195:8080

Type: HTTP

If it still fails then it's possibly a problem with the O2 GPRS network. Do you have any other phones to test O2 GPRS with ?

yep still fails and i have tried in diffrent phones works brill, but i know gprs works cus if ai put a orange sim in it connects
