Guest Benzyg
Hi, Using the Windows CE Remote Registry Editor, while trying to change/add/remove one of the keys under //HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE//Comm //HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE//Drivers I got an error message saying "Unable to add/set value xxx" 1) Any idea how to bypass it? 2) Any idea why does it happen?
Guest Paul [MVP]
This is because app does not have 'Privileged Status'. I believe the solution is to include your own custom certificate into the provXML, then sign your app with it, selecting 'Privileged Status'. Guest Benzyg
You wrote: "...own custom certificate into the provXML..." What do you mean by that? (if you mean the 4097 key i already did it and it had no effect). The only thing i still need to understand is how to sign the app with my cert. I know that there is the security tab in the evc, now what?
