You have to love the BBC and their jumbled technology articles. ;)

64 gigabit = 8 gigabyte and we already have micro SD cards that big.

80 DVDs would give somewhere in the region of 360 gigabytes unless they are just talking about average quality DVD movie rips.

Assuming that they are actually talking about having 64 gigabyte cards in 2009 then I have to say that would be pretty cool.

Yeah, not entirely sure whether this article is highlighting the fact you can now get 8GB or storage on *a* chip, or whether its showing off Samsung now have 30nm transistors.

They go on to say 16 of the chips provides 128GB of storage so i'd guess the above is the actual reason...
