I used to struggle to get 1 bar of a 3G (3) signal on my Touch Dual up in the Newcastle/Sunderland area, but recently I've found i'm now getting around 3 bar of HSDPA (H) ;) Griff Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

Guest Neil5459 Posted September 29, 2008 Report Share Posted September 29, 2008 I'm finding the same thing in the London to Cambridge area- more consistently getting HSDPA over the past few weeks, though office and home still struggling with GSM :wacko: Although the mast infrastructure is getting better, I'm still finding Orange's data transfer rate to be generally poor to abysmal even when I have a 3 Bar HSDPA signal. May be cell congestion as I'm usually using it on the rush hour trains, but my maximum sustained rate has been around 600kbps (which I suppose is OK) right down to 40kbps, which is what I saw right from Bethnal Green to Cheshunt last Thursday.
