Guest jcsbanks
you cannot use the 1.5 superboot on the 2.1 rom...you can root it manually or use a customized rom. ogiogi posted this for me: Root on original 2.1 http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=682828 download su-2.1-e-signed.zip. Put the zip on SD and flash it in recovery. -- However, I need to install the custom recovery image on my Hungarian 2.1 to be able to do the above. Is the method and file in the first post in this thread safe to do this with?
Guest aidanj
hello, i'm having an issue amon ra on my pulse. my pulse has android 2.1 and the hungary customisation pack. now, i have usb debugging enabled on my pulse. i turned off my pulse, held down the end volume key, then the end call key, then power button. then, a blue menu appeared. i connected my pulse to my linux pc via usb, opened a terminal, and: aidan@aidan-desktop ~ $ cd Desktop aidan@aidan-desktop ~/Desktop $ cd '/home/aidan/Desktop/1.5.2-pulse-amonrarecovery' aidan@aidan-desktop ~/Desktop/1.5.2-pulse-amonrarecovery $ chmod +x install-recovery-linux.sh aidan@aidan-desktop ~/Desktop/1.5.2-pulse-amonrarecovery $ ./install-recovery-linux.sh < waiting for device > it just seems to hang on waiting for device forever - if anyone could give me assistance, i'd be most grateful. Just run the installer on the pc and it should look like this (at least for me on linux): $ sudo ./install-recovery-linux.sh [sudo] password for irvine: sending 'recovery' (3768 KB)... OKAY writing 'recovery'... OKAY * Take out the battery and plug it back in. * Turn on the device while holding the RED and MENU button, which will load Amon-RA for you. - Irvine

Attempted to install Hungarian update. Recovery will boot, the trackball/volume can move the highlighting bar up and down but cannot select or click. If I attempt a normal boot I just get a reboot cycle. Edit: Switched the battery and randomly the trackball started working again. Installed Oscillation ROM R7 no probs. V. relieved... Guest mlang
I still can't get ADB to work in order to do this, and I presume that it's the USB drivers. Can someone please give me the file names and versions for the drivers that need intsalling (there seem to be lots of different versions). And also please can someone tell me which devices need installing or need the drivers updating in Windows XP device manager? Guest NPeete
Hi! I flashed my Pulse with this custom recovery. I would like to flash MCR 2.1 ROM so I wanted to wipe everything with amon-ra. I succeeded wiping settings but when I tried to wipe Dalvik-cache and ext partition I got an error message saying try wiping via adb. I googled for that, somewhere I found that's just a bug, it actually did it, though I think it didn't 'cause a2sd within the custom rom is not really working. Any advices? Guest robot1000
I've just updated to the Tre ROM, but I'm having troubles flashing the Recovery console. I've installed the T-mobile software, but the device is still not being recognised. Can someone please direct me to a place where I can download the specific drivers required?
