After trying roms from GREAT cooks like PDhee, Ock, I have tried Nicklas Hidegards rom.

I have been using Nick's 23110 rom for about a month and IMHO, it is the best rom for omnia. Very very stable, no issues whatsoever.

Nick's FloTanium HIDE23 build 23110

STABILITY.......................... 10+++ (from the roms I've tried, by far the most stable one. Even more than any 6.1 rom)

SPEED................................. 10

RESPONSIVENESS............... 10

FREE PROGRAM MEMORY.... 10

COOKED APPS..................... 9 (Because there's no DialUp Enabler/Disabler)

DESIGN................................ 10

I strongly recommend this rom!

Link: http://www.modaco.com/content/i900-general...-final-release/

Also, for _any_ 6.5.x based rom, I strongly recommend AutoClosePatch program!

Get it here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=5711787

Explanation of what it does: http://www.careace.net/2010/02/24/autoclos...-samsung-omnia/

Best regards to all of you!

I'm testing alot of roms lately, 6.5s; many have cons & pros, but I didn't find yet what I'm looking for.

I want a Norma/Lite or UltraLite, as much as STABLE-FAST, with great responsiveness, fast core etc. I want everything working like a charm; I don't care about programs installed or design.

Any idea, any opinion of you, fellas?

Regards, Andy.

Hi all.

Tested a lot of rom's lately and now I went totally old school

I've tested shokka's 6.1 lite rom with xbic1 phonepart " Not in rom but can be downloaded from link"

http://www.modaco.com/content/i900-general...s-wm6-1-g-romz/

Xbic1 phonepart

http://www.zshare.net/download/672807187a412899/

It's working very very nice, didn't find any problems and had no need to hard reset. Especially no problems with spb " or should I say nearly no problems. When connecting to facebook it gives an error in the end but just ignore it works any way"

Some facts:

Memory storage 150 mb programs 99.54 mb.

After all that I installed is the memory storage 61 mb and programs 49 mb.

Sktools 260. With xcpuscalar on auto it's 349. This app will of course influence battery consumption.http://www.immiersoft.com/download.htm paid app 19.95 $

Old school menus but you don't use them with spb mobile installed. File menus are small but can be corrected with sktools " shareware 19 us " http://www.s-k-tools.com/?m_downloads.html However I didn't need to change.

Battery : after 3 days 50 % with low use " without xcpuscalar". Again this is of course very different from user to user but in my experience battery time is very good.

Don't be fooled by a score of 260 in sktools this rom is fast and of course finger mouse works as it is a 6.1 rom.

What I did:

Installed dialer OMNIA Lite Dialer PURE BLACK DUSK STYLE fits screen nicely. " This is wm dialer so video calls should work, haven't tested"

http://www.modaco.com/content/i9x0-omnia-h...mp-player-more/

You can also try iconsoft dialer which is a paid app 24.95 $ with many different skins. Picture with white dialing key is from iconsofts dialer. http://www.iconsoft.com/

Installed opera both mini (without java as it is installed) and mobile and got streaming player to work with mini. In streaming player set options to udp 6970 to 32000.

http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=486502.

If you need original apps:

http://www.samsung-omnia.org/shokka9%27s-k...ed-or-want-%29/

If you need lite apps:

http://www.modaco.com/content/i9x0-omnia-h...-for-i900-i910/

Be aware that some black lite apps can have problems but read the tread

Installed spb "shareware 30 us"

http://www.spbsoftwarehouse.com/products/mobileshell/

Installed mobile sense "I use expresso style where tasks are where carousel normally is"

http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=604146

Installed vostradamus widgets

http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=574264

Installed s2u2

http://www.s2p.ac-s2.com/

Installed theme for s2u2

http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=657313

Some reg tweaks: use reg editor like http://www.freewareppc.com/utilities/phmregistryeditor.shtml or just what makes you happy

Gprs tweak:

Enable GPRS auto disconnect: i just set this to 60 seconds so you can change this to more or less than my settings..

[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Comm\ConnMgr\Planner\Settings]

"CacheTime"= 60

"SuspendResume"="GPRS_bye_if_device_off"

DEFAULT Settings (if you want to revert the reg change)

"CacheTime"="600"

"SuspendResume"="~GPRS!"

Gps tweak:

settings for i900 omnia

1. Make sure Omnia's External GPS settings as on defaults;

- GPS program port = COM3

- GPS Hardware port = COM9 and Bud rate = 4800

- Manage GPS Automatically

2. Extra data injection through Enhanced GPS

3. Here are registry editings

- HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\System\CurrentControlSet\GPS Intermediate Driver\Drivers\Samsung GPS Hardware\InputBufferSize: set from 4096 to 512

- HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\System\CurrentControlSet\GPS Intermediate Driver\Drivers\Samsung GPS Hardware\OutputBufferSize: set from 4096 to 512

- HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\System\CurrentControlSet\GPS Intermediate Driver\Drivers\Samsung GPS Hardware\SleepOnNoData: set from 100 to 0

- HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\System\CurrentControlSet\GPS Intermediate Driver\Drivers\Samsung GPS Hardware\RetryWaitOnError: set from 10000 to 0

- HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\System\CurrentControlSet\GPS Intermediate Driver\CurrentLogFile: set from CurrentLogFile to Blank (set string value to blank)

- HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\System\CurrentControlSet\GPS Intermediate Driver\OldLogFile: set from OldLogFile to Blank (set string value to blank)

- HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\System\CurrentControlSet\GPS Intermediate Driver\Multiplexer\MaxBufferSize: set from 16384 to 1024

- HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Samsung\RIL\GPS\Accuracy set from 19 to 1

- HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Samsung\RIL\GPS\QOPDelay set from 12 to 1

- HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Samsung\RIL\GPS\RefreshRate set to 1 (default)

- HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Samsung\RIL\GPS\VAccuracy set from 0 to 1

4. Soft reset

5. Check and make sure above registry settings done properly, unless complete them proceed further!

6. Now you can check GPS reception; type in *#1472365# go into menu\views\ and click on "satellites info". Then go back into menu and click "get position". You will get a page with number of sats and the signal strength from each.

Added new gprs enable/disable but the installed nodata works to.

Well, I must to agree with you, mate. I'm keep telling to new users "stick on 6.1s", but I'm watching so many amazing looking 6.5.x and I want to give a try on them - and of course, in the end... facing serious problems with almost all 6.5.x firmwares!!!... I need to contact with ya, discuss about "building" a 6.1 rom step-by-step (for my personal use).

Are you interesting, bro?

Btw... I'm trying for a couple of days, a new firmware's rom of K.Radd (M2Dv2 G-Carbon - v2); what can I say?!

AMAZING rom!

So much "full" (with apps/utilities/tools), but runs like... Hamilton's McLaren F1 car!

FANTASTIC rom! You may give a try to that rom or from the rest of the new firmwares' roms K.Radd mad (Neo, Titanium, etc.)...

Well, about the battery... It's a FULL rom, a M2D rom, with tones of apps and such; with XBIC1 radio and a simple/regular use today (I charged my i900 last night and I opened it this morning)..., I "lost" THREE % from the FULL (100%) battery!!! Now, in the evening, I have 97%!!!

The scrolling and navigation between screens and menus are FABULOUS, without any lags/hags! The kinetic movement is ubsolute, when you're pressing something (a button) in 0,3-0,5sec you're moving from screen to screen...

I had NO problem with weather update (no "changing" other operator and re-change to yours; it just happen, simply and easy), no problem with "surfing" in the Net - just had to set my connection manually, because I pressed "No" when the system asked me to automatically set my SIM's settings.

About the VISUAL part...? No comment! AMAZING looking rom, probably the BEST around.

Highly recomended!

JN's roms must be the fastest ever and best visual without doubt. Really amazing sh*t!

Indeed. And I can't understand how they did it - because we must not forget jo-the-ripper aswell with K.Radd.

I mean, HOW they managed to make so stable and fast roms... but in the same time SO "FULL" of apps and utilities???

I'm very, deeply impressed from this efford; I was looking for ages for something like that: stable, fast, flawless, GORGEOUS looking, etc.

I think, I finally found (after Sector, Shokka9, Khuanchai) my favorite "cookers"!...

"JN" shook the forum!

best rom for spb and mobil sense in my opinion

rom 6.1 http://shokka9.swisszano.ch/WM6.1/SHKvRC_LITE/

add on http://www.spbsoftwarehouse.com/products/mobileshell/

add on http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=604146

Note there's a new version of spb "3.5.4" and I'm not sure it will run mobile sense 3.5.3, but I think there shouldn't be a problem. EDIT: no problem

6.5 rom's

At present time, I think that ock's 23118 rom is the best because it doesn't use as much battery and not many bugs

http://www.modaco.com/content/i900-general...ralite-premium/

That's just my humble opinion

Guys,

as some of you know i got my i900 back from repair service. It came in perfect condition, unlocked to network (AHAHAH), and didn't cost a thing, just more than 2 months of waiting :(

in the mean time i bought i8000, and now i'm willing to sell my i900 (kinda sad to loose it, but i don't use 2 phones..)

So, if anyone wants to buy it we can reach an agreement :( it has still 6 months warranty.

cheers

Guys, sorry to say i just sold my i900, and therefore i close this thread. Feel free to keep posting your opinions but i will not update rankings.

It was very nice to meet so talented guys here, and chating with really nice peolpe. I will visit this section from time to time, to see how the GREAT OMNIA goes

in the meanwhile, i'm just next door in i8000 section.

It would be awesome if this amazing chefs and rom testers could buy an i8000 so we could all continue this "project".

Will miss this!

see u guys!
