Hi everybody. Hi Rodrigo, you have been doing a really great work on the HTC Rom for the Omnia II.

I have a question for you, and I hope you can help me.

I bought my Omnia II about to weeks ago. I come from a HTC 6900, and I areally liked the WM interface.

Now, my point is that even when I like the Omnia II, i really don't like the Samsung sms interface, I mean, the way it looks, and how the Samsung interface handles the SMS. I would like to know if there's any possibility to extract the WM interface, from the HD2, and install it on the Omnia II?

I've been reading for people who claim for the touchflo 3d interface to be installed on the omnia II, and many other HTC interfaces, but I haven't seen somebody who wants to disable the Samsung interface for the SMS. Could you give me any help or any clue about it.

Thanks a lot bro.

Hello!!! thanks for the rom, is fantastic!!!! About the dim and power off issue... if s2u2 go dim and power off... it´s possible start automaticaly s2u2 after "X" period of inactivity??? (by registry or Mortscript or Idlestart). If that is possible it´s a solution (partial) for the issue.

Thanks again

Hi! Sorry im new in this flashing of roms. Hope you wont mind helping me. Thanks in Advance!

My Questions:

1. I read the post/s and said that I have to make my phone part to L1/L2 and currently my phone part is J3, someones post said I have to flash this rom http://www.modaco.com/content/i8000-omnia-...i8000-wm65-rom/ on 07-DEC-09. Do I still have to download the older version or just go direct to 07-DEC-09 and just flash it to my phone?

2. When using Octan Mini, I only have to put the .nbo file of rodrigo then leave the .mst part but where can I get the .csc file? should I also leave it blank?

3. After filing out just have to detect and start. After that, is it done or need to do something more?

4. When I hard reset, will everything revert back to normal just like when I bought my phone?

5. Where can i get a link for PDA/CSC/eBOOT coz in secany's link only premium user can download it. (Solved this already, I have to wait for 10mins before I can download the other links again.)

Thanks!

My DIM problem existed even after i removed S2U2. The screen will only back to full brightness after i reset the phone but then if i press the lock screen button it goes dim until the next reset.

It is like the lock button cannot be pressed at all, as the phone will go dim with or without S2U2.

I've already tried so many versions of S2U2 even the old one but the problem still there. Help pls.

The phone not going off gets fixed when you re-flash latest EBOOT part from secany. Try it out.

Me too, Flashing by-it-self the latest EBOOT did not solve the "phone not going off". Do we need to flash the EBOOT with the PDA to solve this issue??

Mr. RFD, will building the L5 Rom with your Leo2-Fusion Rom help with this issue? Maybe in the Beta 2 release? :)

Well, i myself suffered from same issue as many of you, and after advice from Khuanchai, reporting that such issue was reported by people that, after reflashing a recent EBOOT, it got fixed, i tried the same and issue was gone.

To be honest, i re-flashed both latest EBOOT, and my latest PDA cooked version (IL5) which i use personally, but i don't feel ready as a beta2 release...

currently my rom has two pending 'annoying issues, but for which i cannot do much more:

one is the memory shortage (note i didn't say 'leak' as many are so used to lately, it seems most users feel that they can blame random phone issues to a misterious 'memory leak' while most of such users aren't tech WM specialists)... but, i mean to the little free memory to play with.

the other is the LIBGLES bugs, that make manila crash, specifically in screens like 'add city', 'link contact to facebook profile' and one or two more.

All of them i believe, i related to a single libgles bug, but again, i don't know how to fix it, even with released open-source code by ginkage .. Maybe him or Chainfire can solve them.

NOTE: if anybody here believes is capable enough of fixing opengl crash, then flash my ROM, download ginkage' released ligbles 0.258 source from his post, compile it with vs 2008, and debug manila.exe running from my rom, under such project, ... and see it crash. Maybe a more skilled programmer can help us here.

The rest of issues are more HD2-tied issues (like messaging slowing down when loaded with messages) ... i can't fix those.

Remaining small issues like camera without text, lockscreen etc are solved already.

About the lockscreen, while waiting for the ROM's next release, there is a quick dirty fix to the lock screen problem without installing S2U2.

AndrewTan mentioned that to make WM default lock screen work, you need to quit Sense 2.5, lock screen, unlock screen then re-enable Sense 2.5. It works....but..

I find it a bit troublesome as I soft reset my phone frequently. So what I did was copying LockDevice.exe (found it in xda-developers) to \Windows\StartUp\ folder, then soft reset. What it does is it invokes Lock Screen every bootup BEFORE loading Sense 2.5, automatically fixing it. By doing so, the lock screen will continue to work reliably. The only quirk is that you have to unlock the phone everytime during bootup. At least it temporarily fixes the lockscreen not showing up and light dimming problem.

However, this does not solve the backlight off timeout problem. That, you have to wait for the new ROM.

Previa,

After I installed those two files, the wallpaper only change on todays screen and menu and lockscreen but not the other tabs. Just black background on other tab. How?

Try install file 'TF3D ...' in 'Device' directory then soft reset and another AWAWC file directory is up to you, you can see all manilla background change like wallpaper at todays screen. Good luck

This is what mr pcarvalho (cooker) recommended inside xda polaris forum 'http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=506043', you can see short note under official ROM, A lot explaination inside the forum but forgot which page, previously i am htc touch cruise (polaris) user,

1) I recommendded official secany ROM IL5 because i already flash with that ROM, this is the latest official ROM

2) 'Set back parameter' - Cooked ROM have residue after Flash with another Cooked ROM, when you flash back with official ROM they erase the residue, correct me if i am wrong but the truth is inside the link, you can get mr Pcarvalho said 'set back parameter', that all.

All the best to the developer and cooker, tq
