This is great. Managed to fix that adb problem just by restarting my machine. Don't know why it's acting like that.

Only found one small bug so far. I can't use the trackball to move the cursor left or right when editing the text.

Other than that, the ROM is awesome.

i just tried this without wipe upon MCR latest beta rom,

i couldnt find Contacts, my texts went missing & the call button calls for force close, cant even make a call,

please confirm me what did i do wrong??

Looks like something went wrong during the flash. Unfortunately, you must wipe to solve this issue.

err having trouble with trackball again. i wiped and install. am i missing anything ?

anyways beside that, this rom is really damn fast. good work mate ;)

in adb logcat, i get following error whenever i try to use the trackball

Trackball is not working

Thar's a big issue for me. .. personally don't really care abt bluetooth but

Can't live without a trackball :-D

It looks no sound is routed to headSet (music / call)

2G/3G icon seems to behave randomly (in areas where I'm normally in 3H or HSDPS, it shows the "G" symbol)

Data speed corresponds to 3G speed though

I can see my paid apps and titanium backup seems loading and working properly

Looking forward for a fix !

Haven't tried 3.0.1 yet but i will!

Although i a have another problem, i'm from sweden and naturally i want the swedish dictonary when i'm typing sms.

The dictonary is installed but somehow i can't get it to work with the swedish letters ÅÄÖ.

When i was on MCR (changed language through more locale 2) the suggested words automatically changed O=Ö A=Å or Ä when needed, but now they won't show up.

Sorry if i'm confusing since the letters only exists in the swedish language!

Ummm... looks like my first reply didn't get saved, oh well. ;)

I can confirm this - after plugging in my headphones, the device doesn't register them.

Hope it can be fixed because the Hero is my portable music device as well. :D

couple of problems for me so far : notes seems to be missing, htc keypad crashes, as does google partner setup on immediate boot up. Had to reinstall 2.1 back.

1. Sound -> HeadSet

2. TrackBall

3. Bluetooth

4. Random 2G/3G icon

5. APN List

what i noticed... : no APN, no language/locale change options except for spanish/english as opposed to multitude in 2.1, may be something else but reverted to 2.1 which is nice.

Just flashed it, it seems to run ok but:

i dont get any option to use mobile network (3g) anywhere.

Holding power button only shows: Silent mode, Airplane or power off.

In wireless controls it shows Mobile networks, i added the APN but there still is no option to actually switch it on?..

Same thing happens in 3.0.1 (It shows "G"-symbol instead of "H"-symbol, the 3G-symbol is fine).

Great ROM though.

I have found one problem, I cannot drag down the top notification bar as well as trackball problem :D

I had done a wipe before flashing this ROM.

Will watch for any progress and retry again later

I have found one problem, I cannot drag down the top notification bar as well as trackball problem ;)

I had some troubles with this new ROM until I did a whipe and new flash.

- My trackball still does not work (but I don't care because I think it sucks and is just useless anyway)

- camera works flawlessly

- notification bar works

- 3G works (except for the strange icon problem) but after reconfiguring my APN.

- The only thing I miss is my SMS. I saved my /data/data/com.android.providers.telephony/mmssms.db file before the wipe and put it back after, like I always do. But this time the messages app does not seem to be able to use it. Maybe the sqlite database format changed between Rosie and Vanilla Android.

It's all so fast and smooth, I like it.

Hi everyone;

Thanks for all of your bug reports. Good to know. 3.0.1 was a huge change and is currently in an experimental form, and not everything is expected to work.

1. The Google Partner Setup issue is due to not wiping after an install. I believe in /data exists a database file for it. I'll set the installer to delete it automatically in the next ROM, for now just ignore it.

2. The 3G icon is missing from the framework file I used for the ROM. Strange. However, you still do receive 3G speeds.

3. The trackball and audio headset bug will be fixed in the next release.

4. About toggling Mobile Network- it was an HTC-only feature.

5. The HTC keyboard needed the modified android_runtime file that was replaced with a stock one in 3.0.1. We need the new runtime file to be able to run full vanilla Android.

6. Bluetooth will be a hard one to fix, and I'll likely need to rebuild the ROM from aosp again to integrate it.

Please bear with me while I release 3.1, for now just use 2.1 if you have any problems.
