Is it possible that the md5 checksum not matches?

hardly. i can not check the rapidshare one, because their servers are overloaded. but the one i downloaded some time ago matches the quoted checksum.

i would not risk flashing an invalid recovery.img, better download again ;)

I've been looking for the original recovery image as I want to remove this one (as I believe thats how it works), does anyone have a link ? Thanks !

p.s. I'm using a mac and when I try extracting some of the files from the images here (22607-ERD79-update-nexusone-stock-images.zip), it gives me an error message that its unable to extract.

EDIT : HANG ON - Sorted. Used a Windows machine !

Thanks, it's what I thought, but as radio is not mentioned in the 1st post I wanted to be sure

radio is not something you reflash that often, except with the nexus 3g errors maybe :D

but it would not make much sense to backup/restore it automatically.

This is a custom recovery based on Cyanogen's recovery source with a lot of things added by me. The purpose of this recovery is to avoid using adb by accessing all features directly from the menu.

This recovery is for the HTC Nexus One only, if you have an :

- HTC Dream/G1 you should go here.

- HTC Magic/MT3G you should go here.

- HTC Hero you should go here.

- HTC Sprint Hero you should go here.

Use the trackball (up+down) to navigate through the menu, press the trackball to select items. Use the Volume-down key to go back to a previous menu.

Always check recovery.log before posting your issues!

Please make sure that your ROM supports apps2sd if you plan to use the ext-features! (/system/sd MUST be available in the ROM)

I would like to move A2SD...

In 1.6.2, if you select move apps + dalv to SD, must you then run a ROM from the kitchen with A2SD enabled for it to properly work? Or do you just run a rooted ROM like MCR 2.0 for example? I'm just confused on the order of doing this properly.

I just used the desktop to flash it:

Copy recovery-RA-nexus-v1.7.0.img to a location where fastboot can find it.

Boot your phone into fastboot mode (power on while holding the trackball)

Connect your phone via usb to your pc/mac/...

fastboot devices (to make sure that fastboot "sees" your phone)

IM having the same kind of trouble.

When I enter the command the terminal on the phone is either telling me that theres no flash image thats found, and when I use the command prompt and CD into fastboot, its saying the command is not valid. This dosent make any sense..

you need to install the sdk from google on your PC and the USB driver of the phone from the SDK too.

then put the phone in recovery and run the fastboot and adb commands on your PC.

HELP ME! I cannot get this recovery image to flash for the life of me. here's the story. I have what was a ere27 build N1. 2 weeks ago I did the manual update to Google's prerelease of Froyo. Now my phone is a FRF50 build. As everyone else found out it's buggy as hell and GPS does not work. I searched for weeks to try and find a fix and I couldn't find anything other than to unlock the bootloader root the device and flash a different rom onto the phone. So I unlocked the BL from instructions here. Then in downloaded Pauls 1.0 FRF50 superboot. I tested the root with torch and it works, so the unlock and root must have worked. This is the first time I have ever used the cmd window and I have tried everything under the sun to get this thing to work so I can flash Pauls froyo and have working GPS again.

I followed the instructions found here; http://ilikemygooglephone.com/2010/01/07/h...-for-nexus-one/ as they actually make sense to me, but I keep getting this error.

Microsoft Windows XP [Version 5.1.2600]

Try the other recovery tool, search for 'rom manager' in the market by clockworkmod, its not as good as AR but its easier to work and use.
