Guest santoo Posted January 12, 2010 Report Share Posted January 12, 2010 hi guys, just a quick question: are there any compelling reasons to change from 6.1 to 6.5 on a b7610? on my earlier devices I've mostly used up-to-date custom light roms, so I'm not completely new to this - however, from what i can gather from posts, wm 6.5 seems to have several issues which 6.1 does not have - at the same time, I can't see any really compelling advantages? wm 6.5 pros: + wm 6.5 interface (hardly matters when using spb or some other shell) + seems to work with sdk 2.1 + fuzzy-warm feeling of bleeding bleeding edge ;-) wm 6.5 cons: - auto-closing of apps due to low ram - issues with camera (inferior pic-qualitiy) anything I'm missing? seems like the cons outweigh the pros in their impact at the moment (not talking about custom light roms or 6.5.3/6.5 SE, just the current situation) TIA! Never had an issue with low ram and auto closing apps, but im i900 so I cant say what your devices are like. Pic quality is awsome on all of the rom's ive been using. I would never go back to 6.1 put it that way! Edit- just read the specs on b7610 and it beats the pants of an i900 so I can only assume that you would have a better experience with 6.5 on your device compared to mine.
