Google Mail Widget

Recommended Posts

I was wondering if anybody knew of a Google Mail widget?

One of my main problems with android is that you can get a widget for your mail, but not for your Google Mail. I've been after one for ages with no success, I thought they may have done it for 2.1 but it doesn't look like it.

I would have thought this would have been pretty straight forward for HTC to set up.

You can use the HTC mail widget for Gmail.

Only for IMAP - I think the OP is referring to a dedicated Gmail widget.

GMail unread count on the market works pretty well.

I use that, it's a nice little widget. I would also have liked a proper mail widget though, like the HTC one. I'm surprised there isn't one - I'd have thought it would be the first widget Google would put out there!

Yeah that's what I was after, took a look at the one grassiekuik linked to but the comments seem to be a little negative so I'll probably keep checking back on that one to see if it improves.

But yeah, I would have thought that widget should have come as standard.

'pure messenger widget' is VERY good, i think it costs about £1... You can set it to display what ever you like, sms, gmail, twitter, facebook or all at the same time.. And there are various skins to make it look nice! Give it a try.
