Guest Burrid
Made an edit, so I'll bump this thread if that's ok. Edit: ah well, problem is solved I guess, no need to post in here anymore. Edited June 24, 2010 by Burrid
Guest dbdkmezz
I've got exactly the same problem. I'm trying to do something very different (use adb shell to remove the old version of gmail), but am getting the: - exec ' system bin sh' failed no such file or directory (2) error. I'm running the latest modaco sense rom, with a fully rooted, perfectly working phone. Help!

I'm running the latest modaco sense rom, with a fully rooted, perfectly working phone. Help! Fixed my own problem, it seems I wasn't mounting the system first! It was all fine if I ran the command: mount -o rw /system first. (By the way, I'd tried that before, but was using a USB extension cable, which was making even mounting commands fail.)
