your rom is PERFECT...

but I have am major issue: Sleep of death is back

What I mean is that it happens quite often that the phone goes black and then I cannot bring it back in any way apart from removing the battery and putting it back.

Also when it is "dead" if I connect it to the power cable it does not show the battery charging.

I've followed all your instructions, cleared the memory more than once, deleted all content... but is still there.

Any help? any idea on how to diagnose what's generating the issue?

Hi all,

First, I want to thank twu2 for his work in this rom :P .

But I´m having a strange issue with the wi-fi. I can connect to a wifi network without problems, but then, all the programs that try to use such network tell me that there isn´t a network available :D or that they cannot connect to it, or they just don´t notice that there is a wi fi connection.

What could be wrong???

EDIT: I Executed 'Restore Connections' in 'Samsung Settings' , and now all works fine:)

You should know that twu2 only does lites for WM 6.5.x based ROMs. JG5 and JH1 are WM 6.5 based.

1. Take out and reinsert the battery after about 10 to 15 seconds

2. Power on the phone

3. Go to samsung settings (the settings with the blue icon)

4.Choose memory settings

5.Choose clear memory and follow the instructions to do a hard reset

6. Allow your phone to reboot completely (it will reboot twice)

7. Reconnect your phone to the computer

8. If the phone is still not recognized uninstall samsung CDMA, and Windows mobile device center or Active sync depending on the one you have on your computer. Reboot your computer.

9. Reinstall Samsung CDMA, then WMDC or Active Sync as the case may be.

10. Reconnect your phone to the pc.

does it have any way to do flash, and not use octans?

or without connecting with computer?

This is a lite (or ultralite) rom based on I8000NXXJG2.

I only test this in English, and the MUI files for other languague are removed from rom.

If you need other language, or you want to add some package to rom, or want to remove some files from rom, please build a new one by yourself.

Here is the script and package setting for JG2 lite rom (same as JE1), if you choose 'My OEM' and 'Samsung Keypad' in BuildOS, you will build a rom 99% same (I remove all .rgu files from dump folder, and change remove some setting from registry and initflashfiles.dat before exit BuildOS) with this one.

! Use Sorg's modified MMSTrayNotification.exe

1. Please use OCTANS Downloader 2.14 or later version

2. for most samsung's app:

if it need choose file, it will launch dll in File Manager (My Files)

if it need choose picture/video, it will launch dll in Photo Album (Photo)

if it need upload file to some communities sites, it will launch SharePix (Communities)

so... you need to install File Manager (My Files), Photo Album (Photo) and SharePix (Communities) for them.

3. You need to reboot the device after install FM Radio.

4. Execute 'Restore Connections' in 'Samsung Settings' if you can't use data link for 3.5G or via ActiveSync

5. You need to flash the official rom before flash lite rom if you want to use PowerDic (the files in my storage hidden partition).

Hi Twu2, do you still check this thread?

As the link provided to your .nbo is dead, I searched, found and flashed my I8000 with a copy of I8000NXXJH2 lite.nb0 at http://www.general-f... lite.nb0.html.

I don't know whether it's your work or not. I guess it's not. I have been getting into trouble with it: The GPRS connection is said pre-configured to 'T-mobile' and cannot be changed/modified as shown in the picture attached. Do you know how to remove that weird pre-configuration?
