Have You copied all binaries mentioned in loadmod script? You also have to copy libsec-ril.so from froyo. Additional question - which kernel are You using?

I would help, but don't have time now - working on intercept's froyo (already phone, wifi, all sensors working, probably no call bug).

That sounds very GOOOOD.

Thanks

On my situation, I have 8GB storage and during the re-partition, found there is a 500++ MB extended partition in it.

After a simple study, I think those files are kind of spell check or dictionary, so it is safe to remove in my case.

What I have did is to backup all the data from My Storage (include the 500++MB) into Ubuntu and then using GParted to delete all the partition and resized them as I wish to. This is the only way I can repartition them.

To play safe, would suggest while you perform the backup, do remember the way of it's origin way of partition. If anything goes wrong, you can just repartition them back and copy back all the files. It wont give any problem.

Hope this would help.

Thanks, you were quite helpful. I removed that 500mb partition and it didn't cause any issues. Using gparted right now to set up new partitions and preform the install.

I was just quite apprehensive about deleting it, as i was worried it contained crucial files. Thanks again for your response. Hopefully have froyo installed to my storage very shortly :)

No, only the files, you want to execute. It's possilbe with chmod-command...

But like voyteckst already said: it's an android thread, not linux teaching.

Gingerbread isn't made by dev team. We're working on froyo.

Besides gingerbread isn't available natively probably on any S3C6410 phones (best port is on Spica, but still not finished), so it will be harder to port it. It isn't enough to use .31 kernel, but rather modified .32.

It is great to see progress on the other side of the world! I checked your website out and it surely seems promising. You should try to focus alot on the optimalizations because that's what holding our Omnia 2 back. I am a total rookie on this but i'm learning about this every day so mabey some day I could help too :)

thanks too so much..B)

So i did, i gave for every executable file the permission x, but doesn't work... But i changed back to froyo so... And one more thing why are you talking sh*t like it's an android thread etc... etc... If somebody ask something why you don't help instead of begging him (or if you don't know how to solve that then shut up)?! Keep in mind, that these forums are up because of one reason: TO HELP EACH OTHER! These comments like that makes me extremely mad!!!

Is Bluetooth under development now?

I think they're working on everything it's only matter of the time when they finish it... It would be nice too when they'll solve the SOD problems and call dropping problems.

You have to use our libsec-ril.so, because it's patched for Omnia 2. Have You copied all neccesary binaries (like efsd, ipctool etc.)? Additionally enable logging to level 8 (on the begining of init.rc) and logging (uncomment dd and adb lines in initr.rc). Read logs - this should hep a lot.

PS. Galaxy S has totally different hardware...
