Maybe off-topic:

Nice, got hardware keypad working for 2.6.32 for B7610

Therefore the next target will be: finding GPIO_USB_SEL because it is conflicting on GPL(5) with keyboard, so it must be somewhere else.

Quick GPIOgfx when pluging in and out USB:

K(0) --> red = input

L(11) --> blue = output

M(3) --> gray = other function

Well. First catch some sleep now. Keep up the good work guys!

I'm sure there is nothing wrong with it, I wouldn't worry about that :)

I don't think the devs need to rush anything, let them take their time, this is not a race

Also, voyteckst have been posting a lot of progress regarding the next beta so I don't see why you would say something like that

The devs are doing an awesome job!

There's nothing wrong. We are currently working on it. If everything will be ok, next beta will maybe in one week. But I can't promiss anything, since there are many things comming out during normal work.

Well, nothing better than an answer from the devs themselves :)

Great news there, I hope this will calm everyone for some time

Please, stop asking the 'devs' for the new beta everyday, everytime. Some time ago the webmasters closed this topic because of the continuous replies asking for fresh information about the first beta. It's quite quite annoying.

Devs are doing a huge, hard and FREE work, and of course they have also their personal life. It's not easy to find enough time to make any progress.

So... the new beta will be ready... when the devs consider it's ready.

Bye.

Sandor (bsbsbs) said the following on the related hungarian forum:

" Now that the 2.6.32.9 kernel seems to work, I compiled my own froyo version. Everything works, except bluetooth and the accel sensor.

It looks very stable, it is booted since friday. If the accel sensor is working, I think we'll publish it."

So a little more patience ladies and gentleman.. :)

Right. And it'll take probably week (more or less because it's complicated).

BTW. Froyo with new kernel seems to be very stable.

maybe the site admin can modify the header to say "please do not ask for beta in thread"

i've been quietly waiting for the next gift from the guys, we should be happy with what we have for now, it still works ok on the phone i use for work.

patience will be rewarded.

I know this is not to be discussed at present time but do you have any plans of supporting wifi on the B7610 when you do have a final-stable release? (thats up to you to decide, of course).

Eitherway, i will use the next beta on my pro thoroughly :D

Which linux module is responsible for wifi in B7610?

wl1271. Elbee already did try something for this for current kernel, see google project page. Myself tried somithing with compat-wireless, without succes.

If I'm right, reading on google, a module has to be compiled and a firmware image is needed.

Would be great.... :-)

If there is proper module (I see it in the kernel) and You have firmware, only libhardware_legacy.so library should be recompiled and wifi.conf changed and it probably should work.

Well.. Sounds very simple if you say it this way :-) but I'm sure it is not.

I think the firmware can be obtained from winmo (? Not sure, but I remember I already did so back in april).
