no, I would just create a rom based twu2's script

Have you selected on RomTool to adjust the size of the XIP? If you did, don't...

I've asked Wes58 what was its purpose and what he answered:

When you port XIP from different version of OS, sometimes we get XIP partition smaller in size. Although it is smaller in size, but because of the insertion addresses of XIP and IMGFS (which are defined in the partition table), there is a gap between end of XIP & start of IMGFS which is filled with FF. By reducing this gap you can gain some storage space.

I haven't tested it well so I can't tell you if you gain much and whether you won't have any problems. If you want to try it, go ahead, I think the worst thing that can happen is that the phone won't boot after flashing - than you just flash it again with different rom.

I am not sure if it is really worth it, it was something I read about and wanted to try it. I don't think anybody has a problem with not sufficient storage space on the phone?

here is a list of what i did:

-create a new folder named JG5(your firmware)

-copy all folders in _template into JG5

-put the romdump in the JG5 folder

-start rom tool, choose your work folder and dump it

-extract LITE and php into JG5 folder

-run I8000LITE.php from JG5

-copy zzzMyMod from LITE into JG5\OEM

-start building PDA. select things u want(LZX compression, change PP value and patch - disable file) and press run

-in buildOS choose which programs you want in the rom, press play

-a windwos will pop up, do nothing

-get your rom in the finish rom folder

I think that, as stated by Lancez, your dump is corrupted... =/

Congrats for new release.

Will try JG5 with my new JML skin...

Here a suggestion:

For better performance you should leave LZX compression. SB did it and (I think) shadowangel , too.

Cheers

i agree w/ contable. also, maybe u could improve your rom by increasing de pagepool value

From SB rom series I know that the pagepool should not be lower than 16mb because we had some crashes with lower pagepool settings.

Anyway you can modify the pagepool by yourself.
