Are you sure you're posting in the right forum? This is the T-Mobile Pulse (U8220) forum, and I've never heard of something like this on this phone :)

Do you mean Fastboot? Just remove the battery and wait 10 secs, then put the battery in your Pulse again and turn it on :).

The blue screen is the fastboot menu (you can access it with voldown+red+power on tap). There you cannot select anything, but can connect it to a computer, and flash data to different partitions. It is not for managing backups primarily. When you see this blue screen, you can flash a recovery app (clockwork or amonra, pick one) then you will be able to boot it (menu+red while booting). From the recovery app you will be able to manage your backups.

I wrote it only in case you would really have a pulse, but you'd call it's menus and states on different names :)

its my daughters pulse i originally put 2.1 on it from this site and she has had problems for a while with it switching off after every call. she now cant switch it on at all she has tried getting into fastboot with different key presses but nothing. waiting to get it back from her to see for myself.

i've found the pulse to be quite sturdy. before you bin it, i'd reset wipe + format all partitions. but, first, take the battery out for 10secs or so. if memcard is giving you isuues, re-seat it and format that too, from clockworkmod recovery. now, start afresh with cm6. personally, for me, that is the best rom yet.

also, if you can, try reading those cm6 threads posts, particularly the first few pages. almost all questions are answered there.

Thanks. I am using Amon RA 1.5.2 and this sometimes crashes while I am in usb mode transferring roms. Phone also crashes (restart at will) when in blue screen mode to get Amon RA back on as phone was stuck with black screen and ftm mode in yellow writing

if you are still stuck, i'd recommend you flash the cm6 aio rom, after reading that entire thread. it will help you understand many of your issues. do everything the first post says in order!
