As far as I know the devs for Xdandroid have 2.1 working well with 2.6.29 In a nutshell.. no. Well at least not without an awful lot of work which would be absolutely pointless. Maybe they just want to ensure their big corporate customers get the shiny 2.2 headlines first and their release isn't overshadowed by better ROMs already being widely available before they launch :unsure:....s. I'm sure they've downloaded nearly every rom postet here and more than likely used bits of these in their own developements.... Isn't the current froyo rom already pretty much perfect barring the minor bugs/quirks. tbh I coloudn't care less if the leds aren't working, I don't even know why they flash red and green on my eclair rom anyway, it just seems random to me :unsure: EDIT Actually the one use is knowing when its charged... I hope it solves most of our issues, e.g. the HUGE battery consumption. What exactly do you think the Softbank device is.?? it IS the first offical 2.2 rom... It would be great if they were picking up little enhancements and stuff. Most manufacturers seem to view android as a free development platform and bandwagon to be jumped on whilst paying little. Guest gusthy Posted January 4, 2011 Report Share Posted January 4, 2011 I guess, filing ZTE is not a very good idea. 1, They made a very good phone for a very good price, btw, with a rather usable stock rom. 2, This phone is easy to root, mod, etc., so it is definitely a community-friendly phone, let's compare it to Galaxy 3 or Xperia series or whichever you want. 3, They already released 2.1 source So it seems that however they do their things a little bit sloopy, at the end of the day we can be happy with this device. Filing them is a very drastic step, and I quess, it will not serve the interest of the community. The Froyo source code can not be released before Jan 1 2011 as a new year gift but it will be published before Jan 7 2011 as a lated new year gift. " For those bored of searching... Anxiously waiting for it as well.
