Same issues as above no Volume control etc also maybe a little tweaking on the tuning wheel is needed also it's a bit too fine on the tuning if that makes sense.Otherwise great work.

Great app, but i have some bugs/feature request:

-there's no volume control (hw keys didn't work) on Paul's alpha5

-there's no autosearch, or at least i couldn't find it.

-the default regional band should be Europe (i guess most of us are brit/hungarian/greece/swiss)

-would be great if this app could use the internal speaker for output

-sometimes the statusbar icon doesn't appear

-half of the ui is just eyecandy, this app should have at least 10-15 memory

-manual frequency editing, mentiond above

That's a lot of request, but I'm happy with this app right now. Great work!

I am workin on it

volume control added

autosearch added (but i need some buttons for scan up and down: somebody should make it, i can't)

Is there any reason why this app needs so many permissions?

As I said i didnt wrote the app, just modified to run on ZTE and Froyo, but i try to minimize the permissions

I was going to ask about the permissions, too.

Any idea why it needs internet access? Or system level alerts? Or (particularly) to modify global system settings?

The rest of the permissions make sense (pair with bluetooth devices, mute during phone calls, etc), but ... what happens if you take those permissions away?

cheers,

I try to minimise the permissions but it seems that

android.permission.WRITE_SETTINGS

android.permission.WAKE_LOCK

android.permission.READ_PHONE_STATE

are necessary

Awesome work, this was the only gripe I had with 2.2, crappy radio, and now it's fixed thanks to this awesome app!

Thank you very much, and the crude buttons on 0.4, so full of win :(

Ok, I don't have the phone any more, so I don't actually know what you want changed. But is this what you want?

Not really. I need two buttons for channel scanning (up and down)

This is how it looks now

There is too much speaker button, so the ones next to the frequency should be chanel_scan_down and channel_scan_up maybe << and >> icons

I tried using buttons that are already in the APK, hasn't come out quite as I expected but close enough..

Edit - A couple of borrowed files and an XML edit later and it's looking better (least in portrait, prolly go to s*** in land lol).

There is a problem with v0.4: turning on the radio, when my blade has an incoming\outcoming call, the fm is still working, without a pause.

it should switch the fm output between the speaker and the headset, but it is not working

I first thought it was a mute button.

People who have some skills in photoshop may be able to make an old fashioned up and down switch in metal for on / off

Like this: Picture
