Alpha2 solved my flashing problem (I did not have to manually copy /system from the zip), and of course the superuser issue.

I'm feeling happy right now

Do you think you could modify the battery meter so it doesn't lie? I hate it that when I'm under 50% of battery, the battery icon is still at two thirds...

When my Galaxy Tab is off and I plug the power, the battery animation get stuck (I cannot see the battery level).

Any idea ?

(Modaco kernel EXT4 + Alpha1)

(I'm upgrading to Alpha2)

If this is provided by the recovery, I can tell you that before it was working with ClockworkMod and a RFS kernel. (Roto KM2 + CF-Root-Tab-KA1-V2.2)

So, maybe a bug of the ext4 version ?!

Ah yes, i'll post the eBook files tomorrow.

P

And also maybe the readers hub apk?

This device makes for a great ebook reader especially now it is so fast so really benefits from these two bloatware apps.

Maybe a kitchen option for these apps in the future?

Nice work on the rom/kernel so far btw

Alpha3 will automatically wipe your device.

Thanks Paul. You're always quick with the good news. I'll assume you also muttered "sucker!" when you hit the reply button :)

I was loving Alpha2 so I started to treat it like it was permanent. I should have learned by now that, with a new MCR, the Tab was going to be a volatile environment a week or so

Paul,

You are amazing - I only received my Tab yesterday and after a few hours trawling through MoDaCo and XDA I thought I'd give Alpha2 a go - it all went very smoothly with the R2 kernal and the device seems very responsive with no issues that I can see as yet. Must admit I've only got my days with a Dell Streak several months ago to compare it to, but I'm very impressed so far - both with the Tab and the MCR. Android has come on a long way since 1.6....

Thanks once again
