Hard to keep up!

Two questions for now

-- how 'fat' is it? (What partition size does it need?)

BTW, there's a spare square bracket ahead of 'Compatibility' ...

-- any chance of your finding the (Vanilla Froyo) Voice Dialler for it? (So I can see how it takes to my two not-quite-identical headsets ...)

System is 139.9M

I found some stuff I forgot to get rid of... the XT9 databases are still in there, its taking up ~16M.... I'll dump that when I get to 0.2

Is the voice dialler not on the market place?

Not with a Blade fingerprint!

Whereas Maps & Street View are to be found there ...

Having it slot straight into a 128mb partition would be nice!

And ummm, I admit that I haven't figured out how to get a Google Voice account yet. Officially (at least) that is US-only, so not of very general usefulness ... AND its in Market ...

Presumably the Kernel is swapped because the "X" is built on the same addressing as the V880/003z, and the original is a non-starter?

delete the following:

/system/usr/xt9
/system/lib/libjni_xt9input.so
/system/lib/libtouchpal.so[/code]

and your left with 121.7M used

Tho you wont be able to install the xt9/touchpal keyboards..

Can libjni_pinyinime.so be removed as you have removed Google Pinyin IME Keyboard?

I don't believe in overclocking, your better off with JJ for that sort of thing... or buy a PSP

Apologies for being off topic, but I used a US Skype in number in conjunction with rdp'ing into a family member in the US's pc to activate Google Voice, maybe a proxy will let you do the same if you don't have family or friends in America.

$15 for the skype in number for three months for free outgoing calls through gmail to the US and no long distance for people in the US reaching me here was a good deal. Now I'm just trying to get some combination of sipdriod, Voice, IPKall/sipgate and PBXes to "reliably" receive and make transatlantic calls using only data (possibly a cent or two outgoing) on my SF.

On topic:

As a very happy longtime user of de-softened, does this release sound the death knell for that particular firmware?

Thanks for all your work Sebastian.

Interesting. Thanks, Seb. Is this a Japanese rom as well, because I see Japanese font built in?

EDIT: does indeed look like the "perfect" rom, does everything JJ does but seems the dialer issue is gone!! only problem so far is the apn list, i.e., no data connection on UK3 will try replacing and report back

I second this. 3G works again once replaced apn list with one found in MCR. This rom does look really promising so far! FAST and SLIM!

Auto time works

Perfect Wedensday Rom? YES!!!!!!

Thanks, Seb. I think you are really onto something of a perfect rom here.

I can now confirm that the only problem in JJ, the dialer partially awakes issue, is gone!

Also seems recent tweaks in JJ come default with this rom as well, even auto-brightness drops all the way down.

Bugs:

- no 3G data connection (on UK3), can be resolved by replacing APN list

- Busybox doesn't work too well with Titanium Backup, in that only a partial list of apps is displayed

Of course it would be nice to have a few customizations, such as enabling the "H" icon, multi-touch in gmaps, ..., but there are only optional.

I've not used any part of KK's stuff... this is as it came
