Got the same problem on my year and a half sprint cdma hero. Worked fine until now, was installing an app and the battery went dead. Now I think the phone may be toast... :D Hard resets do nothing, choosing to clearstorage gets a few dots than the screen goes blank and then back to clear storage screen.
