Guest MaxiP
Wow! That would be just great! How will it be indicating the USB mode? A widget? And, on a side not, is it possible to create an app that will reboot the device to a specific mode? Like ROM Manager (on my HTC Desire) is able to boot my phone to recovery? USB mode widget would be great USB Switching by reboot app sounds very much like the MCR method. Personally, I've had two 'fastboot' probklems requiring a rebuild so don't mind the current way unless it can be made not to fail / crash / fastboot / etc
Guest Buzing Bee
you shouldn't get the crash / BSOD if u install my prevention fix :D

Guest rvdgeer
@Buzz: I noticed an interesting unanswered question: After a (clean) install of the latest Buzz Kernel, do we still need to flash your BSOD fix (prevention) separately? If so, would you mind adding it to the first post? Thanxx!
Guest Buzing Bee
nope it only needs to be done after flashing a compete (unfixed boot.img) :D i will add to the first post ASAP
Guest andrewdolphin
Can I just confirm one thing - does this kernel have the relevant code included to support link2sd? (i.e. does it automatically mount the ext2 partition on the sd card if available?) Thanks
Guest simonta
Evening all. I was on 0.3 and have just flashed 0.5. Don't think the update has worked. The update itself goes by so quickly that I can't see any messages, which makes me think it's not working, and the kernel string in about device ends in 0.3. Would someone be kind enough to confirm the kernel ID when flashed correctly? Cheers
Guest nosferatu_vos
a nice to have for the 0.6 version of the kernel is multi touch support. here is a link from the xda. http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=878936
Guest Bobbler
Killed my Wifi after a reboot. Was working fine just before, but I rebooted after switching host mode to try out the Xbox pad stuff. After booting up cannot switch Wifi back on either via widget or the settings screen :D [edit] Ignore, just spotted it in the original post. Guest Littleun
can someone test 0.7 ? here is the link (flash as normal with recovery) http://dl.dropbox.com/u/15005030/Buzz_Vega..._SLAVE_HOST.zip Downloaded and tested 0.7 last night. Seems to run really well, tested with music (PowerAmp), web (dolphin browser HD), and various other apps without any issues. ADW launcher seems zippy as does everything. Not sure if there's anything in particular you want testing but can test specific things this evening if you have a list. PS. Thanks for the effort, much appreciated. Guest kampo
Hi ppl How can i make my external ntfs hd 2.5" to work or my WD my book 3.5". My 2.5 when i connect it the disk sounds to power up but the green light of my case is not ON. Ok i said vega don't has enough usb power and i tried to conect my WD my book ( with external power) the light is on when the usb is plugged on vega but i can't. find in file manager nothing (local/mnt/usbdrive). Do i miss something? Is it possible to make my hdds work on vega? Btw usb is working fine. I found somewhere in xda (i can't find it again) that i have to mount it manually. Is that means that i have to do something special or just go to mnt/usbdrive? sorry for my english Cheers
Guest ptbw
Nope as long as it boots and runs all is good :D ill update main thred in a sec Appears to be working fine for me including host mode with USB modem. Is there any way of knowing that host mode is enabled ( apart from remembering that its been booted with the back button held? ) Pauls kernel(s) identified them selves with _slave or _host at the end of the kernel string and there is a neat indicator widget that using this to display on the home screen. Just wondered if there was a trick I could use to modify the home screen widget to work with your kernel? Cheers
Guest yabbas
On here - installed ok, seem to get a few force closes (I didn't when on 0.5) - I'm not sure if it's Fuji playing up a little.
