Did anybody tried to uninstall some apps with Titanium?

I only uninstalled the same ones Vache did with Gingerounay 1.x - but I get random crashes, ForceCloses, sometimes after reboot I have to select the system language again.

Did you all flash this Leak over your device or did you first flash 1.100.00 ?

Did you just leave the recovery when it asked for languages ?

Nope.

I used the phone, everything configured.

Switched it off, rebooted - voila, select language and all the setup again.

Also the random force closes are strange.

How did you root yours?

SuperUser 2.3.6.3 (1 out of 10 force close) - or your fix (doesn't work for me).

I will now try the following:

+ flash a clean 1.100.00

+ flash 3.021.00 over 1.100.00

+ flash Recovery 2.0

Then I might need a little help :)

Do you have ICQ or so?

Update: Gingerounay 1.3 will be work with this Leak? Then it's better I wait B)

I asume it will be rooted without some of the Acer stuff...

I had same issue one or too times, i thunk it was because of the recovery.

SuperUser 2.3.6.3 seems to work well.

I don't use ICQ, but you can find my gmail, wlm or skype ID in my profil.

I allways use my own set of apps, no really need for a custom rom, If you hav a working Superuser/Titanium system....

The Acer apps I leave installed are: About, Acer Sync, AcerSynchelper, XT9, Launcher

no FCs...

flash ROM,

android setup,

enable USB-debuging,

flash recovery,

reboot in recovery,

flash su-2.3.6.3-efgh-signed.zip,

wipe all userdata,

reboot,

android setup,

enable USB-debuging,

adb install titanium.apk,

install busybox

remove apps

recover apps + data

Hmm, I missed the bold ones... is that a problem?

hm without the wipe, i just got a boot loop - IF you don't - fine :)

busybox is needed for several things, as the android-provided toolbox is not that functional. Just tap the "problem" button if you are in Titaniums start screen

This may be the cause of your FCs (?)

I'm still new to this..

Can someone provide the simplest instructions on how to flash this? Assume that I just want a clean restore and have nothing to backup.

I'm currently running 3.019.00_EMEA_GEN1.

I managed to update my 2.21 to that version, but I'm scared I'm going to screw things up this time. Just simple instructions please..thanks.

PS- Can the Acer UI be disabled in this build?

Download the ROM and latest ADT (Acer Download Tool). Flash with ADT. Just plug in ur phone with USB Debugger Mode Enable via Setting/Application/Development.

This is one of the most top notch ROM i ever had and run on my Liquid MT. Again and again, thanks Liquid_User. U're da man!

Yup, figured that out and did it, seemed to work fine. Some of the other 'lists' were intimidating me and I thought you needed to do all that crap before flashing.

Anyway, back to my Q- is there ANY way to disable the acer theme modifications? I much prefer the stock UI, especially the lockscreen, etc, and am wondering how this can be reverted back. It was a menu option in 2.2.1.. but its gone now. Anyone?

stock option not available in this..if you wantstock better flash vache's gingerounay.. it has stock/launcherpro/Golauncher.. :) if you dont want to flash just use custom launcher to hide acerUI... B)

Is it the same process as flashing the official ROM?

Ok, another question. How to get rid of acer lockscreen widgets? ie. social jogger, agenda, etc. I couldn't figure out how. I hate them and dont want them.

you need have recovery installed(i strongly suggest you do)...

download the gingerounay zip and put it in root of your sd card..

reeboot to recovery..

1) Nandroid/backup(just in case you screw up somewhere)

2) WIPE ALL(very important)

3) flash zip file from sd card option->choose the gingerounay zip file and flash...

4)Pray it works :) (it will if you follow all the steps correctly)

Do not do this if you dont know what you are doing..u might brick ur phone..

also to remove lockscreen widgets:

menuButton-->HomeDecor-->last option says homescreenWidgets..there you can add or remove homescreen widgets.. B)

Cheers :D
