I'm afraid they can steal everything. Your email, contacts, files, credit card details, house, family, and anything else they want.

Its very very important to lock it. The only way to avoid these terrible things happening is to lock your phone in a steel box and eat the key.

Just don't put any important info on your phone i.e credit card details and contact info that you already know. Just get free apps like me and if some1 steals your blade then minimal harm is done( capart from losing £100 worth)

Just lock your phone and install " Where'S my droid" and you'll be fine

You really should fill that box with acid. Just in case if they kill you and cut your stomach open and steal the key.

My advice would be to be put a small nuclear fission implosive device inside the phones internals.

Connect this to a small micro SIM, and have it set up so that when you send a certain text to the SIMs number, eg "OMG the GOVMNT IS HAX0RING Me" that the device activates, vaporizing the phone.

Lol, this thread is getting a bit tinfoil hat.

Any purchased apps from the Market will be linked to your Google account, so nothing lost there.

Just don't put anything too personal on the SD card, a pattern/pass code lock could be good but there's ways around that.

Best thing you can do if it's stolen and you didn't lock anything is just report it stolen, I know in the UK if you knew/know the IMEI you can get it blocked and add it to a database of stolen things here: http://www.immobilise.com/

@ Shadow & Pelemane

You made me lol.

it makes me sad to think that whatever locator tools etc you have

if someone gets your blade and knows what they are doing

clockwork mod

flash / complete wipe

presto

punt the phone and move on :)

or...

if they are stupid - ok so they enter the passcode wrong a few times and you can set tools like phonelocator to wipe the phone...

in a perfect world.. google needs to it needs to tie in with you sim/imei...then you can track... but again.. ...

in short....dont lose it!!

Now I remember Taskers primary usage, the remote detonation of mobile phone bombs :)

Send email to your googlemail account. Dont Change the password. Send:

Hello theaf,

you are logged. Take the Blade to the next Police Station, or you are localized from police. I give you 2 hours !!

Tell them this;

I now have your name, adress...I would be scare if I was you!

But really, I would change your GMail password. Changing it logs your Blade out >:)

WaveSecure and Lookout also have similar features except less root integration but they do have more backup options.
