[solved] TPT method replaced initial splash screen

Hello All,

A little problem here. I had to use the TPT method on my ZTE blade to install clockworkmod recovery, but the initial spash screen (a ZTE blade logo) has been replaced by a green android.

I need to put it back to the original one, but I don't find how to do that. Anyone can help me ?

Here's a guide how to replace your (boot animation and) splash screen. If you can just find the original image, you'll get it back :) Edited August 12, 2011 by sm4tik

Thanks a lot, it's really helpful. But I have both a romdump save and a clockworkmod save, and it seems that the splash is not saved (there is no splash.img). I could ask someone who has the same phone to get it for me, any hint on how to do that ?

You can backup the splash image by running this command in rooted android terminal:

cat /dev/mtd/mtd2>/sdcard/splash.img
