I know. It just doesn't work.

We will have to wait for Sandors source changes. According to Voyteckst he will commit after cleaning them.

Then I can analyze if this is caused by kernelchanges or if it is caused by elementary changes in the android fs.

I think it must be kernel changes, because it is based on spica. I compiled spicagen and cyanogenmod myself and they run fine on my B-7610.

well great you compiled that ..

i reverted to beta 3 as i need the phone part working , till a new rev come out from you ,

plz tell me if i can do anything , if i am capable of

Erickas, as allways you can count on me for testing

I have good news for Internet Sharing connection

I am discussing about beta 3 naturally.

1) Download PDANet_3.02 by market on B7610 and install

2) you can have already installed Samsung driver on PC to have working ADB connection or download PDANet_3.02_for_windows --> whern you connet mobile Samsung auto driver installation will start.

Now you can use USB tathering!!! :D

I am writing using that!!! It is perfectly working and very very fast! ;-)

This is for "normal" tethering, connection from phone to pc. But, is there a way to make reverse tetheting? (from pc to phone?)

Magnuz you can try to follow my step to step tutorial

1) Download kernel, installer and startup file

2) Connect phone to pc

3) Copy the unzipped conten of the autoinstaller on the root of my storage

4) Disconnect phone from PC

5) Open o2beta folder and run androidinstaller.exe

6) Wait till the end of the black screen with "falling"text

7) The device will reboot in more or less 30 second

8) Connect phone to PC

9) Copy the file "startup.txt" on the root of my storage

10) Run "haret.exe" from the root of my storage

11) Again wait till the end of the black screen with "falling" text

12) Android will boot (it takes lot of time at the first time)

13) Once in android, don't do anything, just reboot

14) Connect phone to PC

15) Copy the unzipped content of "kernel rev 75..." on the root of my storage, overwriting if necessary

16) Run again "haret.exe" from the root of my storage

17) Android will boot

18) I suggest to reboot again once or two time just to be sure

Thanks bro! I'm gonna try this later tonight...

still no news...........

is there an ISO for our b7610 to use android? as i know, many versions of ISO is available to i8000 for android.

If there is an iso for I8000 there is an iso for B7610 just like the same ext4.tar.gz is used for both I8000 and B7610. The difference is in B7610 specific patche and updates, available on google project page in download section.

You are right, still no news. Source is not published yet so patching to B7610 (if necessary) is not possible.

As I know, the zImage for ISO, is not the same for the partition. it is changed.

As the B7610 zImage is different from the I8000 zImage, I just can't use the zImage which attached to the I8000 ISO folder.

and also I can't use the zImage from rev98 since it is made for partition one but not ISO version.

Sorry for my bad English.

Thanks so much for everything you had done for B7610.

New Boot Animation for B7610...:D

I hope B7610 users will like this...

Nice! One request: Can you make the background real black? Looks a bit like a painting on the wall. (no offense offcourse)

For everyone who reverted to beta3 because the phone is not working properly:

rename the file to frb3update.tar.gz

is that the change of source code is posted ....

posting just to keep it alive.... no post from yesterday....

:(

I believe that we are all waiting for this :)

BTW, anyone experience low 3D/2D performance in CM beta?

Quadrant shows much lower score (3D 45, 2D 72?) than beta3 but drag racing which i play often is definitely smoother
