I installed that pig app and it said I have gen 1 phone, I am completely lost about gen1 and gen2, is it OLED and LCD? Anyways I have clockwork 2.5.1.3 installed on the phone what rom can I use? Guest Amphoras Posted October 15, 2011 Report Share Posted October 15, 2011 Gen 1/2 is nothing to do with OLED or LCD, its to do with differences in the internal phone layout. You can already use any rom that says its for Gen 1. If you want to use a Gen 2 rom, then you can upgrade to Gen 2 by following this guide http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1258855 After you have done that, you can use any rom that says its for Gen 2 (but not Gen 1 roms anymore). If you want to go back to Gen 1 again (eg. if you have to send your phone back for warranty) then you just have to use the Gen 2 to Gen 1 TPT from that guide.
