I've played with it tonight but have gone back to GSF r3. The reasons?

- I could not make the ClassicTTS work, it simply was not available in the Text-to-speech menu, though it was installed.

- the launcher is limited to 100 icons (5 screens of 20 each) but I have some 150 apps installed which means some of my apps were inaccessible. This could be solved with another launcher but it kind of defeats the purpose - LewaOS without a Lewa launcher.

Once Lewa developers address these two issues I might come back. If any Lewa developers read this forum or if there is anyone who could pass the message then please take notes. The LewaOS is too nice to suffer from annoying little problems like these. It deserves to be used more widely and it needs just a little bit more polish to be perfect.

looks interesting, but i can not use it :( small problem: with my provider i need to call *245# to chech my ballance. Dialer in this room can not call with symbol #

ps: fixed it with Contapps dialer

guys , 12.30 fixed version is released... have a try by ota...

lewa devs says its only a fixed version of 12.30..

next week , they'll get normal..

btw,it is the 1st time that i succeed updating by ota...

the method frozing apps which i dont like is awesome!!

I just installed http://forum.xda-dev...ad.php?t=991276 it seems to have a nice effect and make the rom even faster.

Also the OTA update still works afterwards :)

You could install the cm7 calendar

It seems to have 1 graphics bug on this rom tho.

With that im getting popup reminders, i dint test without this one tho

Tho if you want a nice calendar that can sync with google callendar i would go for Jorte from the market

Well to use it:

1. install scriptmanager from market
2. start it and select browse as root.
3. browse to the script file you downloaded from the xda link and open it.
4. tick the su option, but nothing else
5. chose run
6. follow the questions appearing on the screen

It changes the lowmemory killer vallues and OOM minfree vallues.

Basicly it enhances the way the phone manages the memory.

But yea might just be a gimic of it feeling faster i dont know :P

Been using it on all roms i use this far

all the lewa app permissions like location, imei, send SMS, make call etc etc. camera, clock, email, gallery, baidu, system update etc etc all request permissions that are not needed to work perfectly well without permissions

If you install the rom from the topic start its already been done for ya.

Tho if you use addfree you have to redo it.

You need to add the following to the hosts file:

127.0.0.1 www.umeng.com

127.0.0.1 umeng.com

this will disable the sending of information to them

For whoever wants it i took the liberty to update the flashable hostszip by ikrautdroid to the newest addfree + umeng fix: download

Managed to change it through settings,still can't figure out how to change thenames of all the apps in the app drawer

Same for me. I only tried the download because the over air failed even though I never removed any stock apps. Flashed back to previous version now.

I think you removed some of the buildin lewa apps? the update checks if the apps are still in place when installing if they are not it fails

I only froze them with titanium backup. But tried update after defrost with the same error.
