Hi,

I am trying to restore my acer liquid e to the official 2.1 Because I want to reinstall Malez recovery.

I downloaded on the acer support site acer liquid tool for 2.1 but it says that my acer has to be gen1.

So i than tried to use the acer liquid tool for 2.2 and than it says:

"Error! You are using an Acer Liquid phone with 256 MB of ram. This upgrade is only compatible with Acer Liquid e phones with 512 MB of ram."

I dont understand I am sure I have an Acer Liquid E, it says so on the box.

The only reason why I am trying this is because i have now the CWM Recovery from when I tried ICS, but I've put back Liquid next 9.2 on my phone. Now I want to put AuraxTSense rom and I can't put it with the CWM recovery,

so I need to put malez back but it doesn't work.

Can someone help me?

Thanks in advance.

Luca

Apologize for my bad english.

I dont understand I am sure I have an Acer Liquid E, it says so on the box.

hi, did you try to use the "acer download tool" instead of official liquid tool ?

it is more flexible.

still, depending on your device (A1 256 mb or liquid E) the 2.2 bin would not be the same

I tried, but i do not understand how to use it.

I did this before you know but for some reason I forgot how to do these things, I feel so stupid.

Edit: Ok I think I now found out how it works but I don't know what bin file I have to download.

Can you help me with that?

Thanks :-)

Hi,

It doesn't work perhaps I use the acer download tool wrong , but it doesn't work and I don't know how to explain what I am doing.

Can you or someone else just explain me step by step how to proceed.

What I have now is an acer liquid e with Liquid next 9.2 on it , and i have the cwm recovery on it.

But I want to put back Malez recovery because there are some roms that I am unable to flash with cwm recovery.

Thank you in advance.

if you have the Malez recovery installer then just use it, if you don't have it you can get it from here :

and the instructions here:

Thats the problem I already did that but it doesn't work.

Maybe something is wrong with my phone.

Edit: This is what I get when I try to install Malez http://d.pr/jTxJ This is from a virtual xp machine running on my mac but I've already tried it on the pc from my girlfriend and the same happens.

I have usb debugging on.
