Hopefully someone else can try using logcat app from market to see if everyone cannot use it.

Maybe paul will know why logging is not happening,I will PM him.

there is one last thing that could help... it might sound stupid but it worked & helped when i ported this to the o2x

take out your sim card

re-flash your rom (based on B888) full wipe

let the phone boot

now flash test5

tell me if the status bar is viable?

I doubt I'll have time for this today, and then I'm off for the weekend to visit family. When I ever a do a clean install, it takes me ages to get the apps back on, and just don't have the time sorry. Thanks again for your hard work mate, and I'll check in next week.

All the best

think i know how to enable logcat...

best to use stock contacts for this:

dial the number below and look for enable logging or something similar

(enable kernel logging)

*#*#2846579#*#*

ok on it now, will let you know......

Good idea tillaz,I enabled logging and changed to error logging from within dialer, but no change at all.

As you can see in screenshots.

and the logging screenshot shows how it is all the time,a blank screen.

There is also another logging menu but selecting them makes no difference.

dose the app from the market work after doing this?

or via adb?

No it still shows a message saying,"reading logs" followed by a permanent blank screen.

How do I read logs with adb ?

I have adb made easy installed is that any use?

if I type adb in cmd window it shows list of all adb commands,I see logcat [filter spec] but typing adb logcat says,

Unable to open log device '/dev/log/main': No such file or directory

(usb debugging is enabled)

ok, i think i might of found why its not working

use root explorer or miui file manager

and go to system\bin

scroll down to logcat, long hold on it and select permission.

it should have theses boxes ticked

post-913969-0-58233600-1338569235_thumb.

if not tick them and save... now try
