Man, even the first launch setup was freaking smooth. I'll restore my apps and will try it for a few days ;)

seems to be a nice rom!

basically 2.X.X droids are not as smooth as 4+ even without the OMX Drivers

however, those 4+droids available for our blade doesn't support a lot of utilities...

so, I'm a little doubtful about the "smoothness" thing in this rom, but the "2020" rating, the comments left so far about it and the fact that CM7.2 is full hardware supported and stable, made me try it.

Fisrt, benchmark don't mean much in term of day-to-day usage.

Second, his phone is overclocked to 729MHz, so this benchmark means even less.

I might still give it a try some day.

The 3d score is way in excess of what you can achieve from overclocking. With the 'new' adreno libs I get 600 on traditional CM7 with those libs at 710mhz and 681 on his rom at 600mhz.

Whether this translates to any real world benefit though - I couldn't say!

How are they made faster? Is it easy to apply the changes to stock CM7? I don't especially want my CM7 themed. :D

BTW, when I click settings -> display -> brightness, it force closes. :(

Yes, but the poster was refering to the overall antutu score. I did not bother digging into the different results, but indeed I read your first post saying you were impressed by 3D scores, and they do seem very good. I don't play games so this particular increase in performance is really useless to me, but probably a good news for gamers.

Just copied your egl drivers into cm7 and it also benches 700+ now. :)

787mhz... What is wrong with my blade :(

My phone does something odd with antutu. After a reboot, the phone has to have been asleep at least once (such that the keypad can't wake it) otherwise it benches lower in antutu. I appreciate that this sounds nuts but it is the case! Maybe its the problem you are having?

A lot of the speed seems to have come from either some recent overall CM7 improvement or a change in how Antutu benchmarks 3d. The stock drivers and the new adreno libs i used are both also a fair bit faster currently in antutu.

One thing i found out is the camera is super smooth (I think its 30fps preview), only on daylight but still it's great. The video sucks and is recorded at 15fps, but I think the preview is 30fps. At least the photos are taken faster.
