[JB] [4.1.2] CyanogenMod 10.0 [ROM]

The anecdotal evidence seems to be that things are more stable with the 926 RIL installed. Does anybody have any more specific info on why this might be so?

I believe that the last stock ROM official update that I did was 946. Is there any way to check? I am definitely on the 2030 baseband but not sure what RIL. Since that update I have installed Infusion and now CM10.0. I did a Nandroid backup of the last stock ROM installed but for some reason can't seem to restore it... :-(

Since I am on the 2030 baseband is it safe to just flash the 926 RIL or do I have to flash the whole 926 ROM (and also the RIL or does it already install it?)?

And it has to be update.app and not CWM ZIP I think from reading some stuff elsewhere?

The instructions above make things sound risky but I thought that the main risk was when downgrading from ICS to GB which required a baseband downgrade (2030 to 109808)?

Hope these aren't dumb questions or too off topic...

Thanks!

Just to clarify, you flashed b926, then flashed the 926 RIL?

Flashed b926 then cm10. Then testing and had reboots.

Reflashed the b926 ril over cm10. No more reboots.

CyanogenMod 10.0 for the Huawei Ascend G300!

This ROM only works on a device running baseband version 2030 that has been upgraded through the official Ice Cream Sandwich process. It is compatible with both the U8815 and U8818 models.

my phone baseband version is 109808, it is new, i do nothing yet, it has Android 2.3.6

so what i have to do to change the baseband version to 2030?

You have to do the ota updates, and then follow the tut to unlock bootloader, install cwm, and update to cm 10.

i thought cm10 had its own ril and it wasn't a good idea to replace it? not sure what's best to do now...

Just noticed that neither of my gps apps work now. TMN Drive and Ndrive crash and GMaps is on an infinite loop trying to find gps location. I've reinstalled all, rebooted and the problem persists. Anyone has this problem?

Really, really great job! It's my daily rom!

(Flashed with clean install)

The only issues I have are:

-Battery seems to drop from 100% to around 80% in less than 5 minutes

-If wi-fi or 3g aren't on, in the pull down bar instead of showing the career name it shows 'no internet connection'

-Panorama mode works but while taking it the screen just appears distorted

-Timelapse in video mode gets FC

-Instagram advanced camera still doesn't work (not a major problem)

-When taking a picture, the saving animation when the frame goes to the right appears green.

-Supposedly Google Ears was introduced in Jelly Bean but I can't find it :-(

-Notification bar freeze (yes, I know the solution in the developers mode)

-(Just noticed) LED doesn't work.

-That distortion mode with the faces on video mode does FC too.

That's what I can remember.

No reboots at all, battery life is great.

Overclocked at 1270, all fine.

Thanks for your work, I'm just trying to help! Waiting for and update. Good job.

I remember reading somewhere that it wasn't yet implemented.

Went to the Auckland rally champs, drag races, drifts, derby drifts, smashing and tumbling. And last on standing recorded all of them pretty nicely but... when I played the videos on my phone it budged, so I used my PC to play and yeah it worked fine.

If you're having an "signature verification failed" error in recovery and it asks you if you want to install an untrusted zip, just hit yes, it was fixed 3 days ago in recovery by koush.

https://github.com/Dazzozo/android_bootable_recovery/commit/d205d4b383861aa6cb2c8cb518f5ef419d603104

The fix will be in the next CWM build... whenever Fagulhas asks me to do it. :D

Can I update from CM9 R3 directly to CM10 R2? Or should I go step by step?

You can update, though you'll need to manually update to the Jelly Bean Google apps.

Mmm...the changelog looks tasty. I'm gonna update right now and post some feedback after a few hours of use. Thanks for the awesome work, and I will try to donate asap :D
