What do you mean you "can't access it"?

What's happening? Can you access the internet otherwise?

What's the latest version of the Play Store app that you had?

Did you have the "new" version -- different UI? When did you last download / install the Play Store app? It changed a couple of weeks ago (well, in the last month I think, but it was actually available from 3rd parties before that).

IF you want a question answered, ALWAYS provide as much detail as you can when you ask it, and always be prepared to find out more, as odds are you might not understand the nature of the problem when first asking -- if you did, you probably wouldn't have the problem :-)

Hi all!

honestly the solution that usually works is to reflash gapps

again, you haven't explained WHAT problems you're having, so the extent to which people can help IF you have further problems is limited, and may not llead to successful resolution of your problem

BUT if you do have problems I've got a Play Store APK v 4.0.27 I could "post" if need be, re-booting will then lead to the latest version being downloaded automatically

incidentally, it should go without saying, but the link to download GAPPS is on the first page of this topic area

  You're wanting to install R4 of CM10.1 -- which nightly, May 27? why not the latest

  and if you're installing a nightly, after already having installed R4, then all this isn't necessary --- just select it from the list of available ROMs and install it -- these are available if you look on your phone:

  Settings /About Phone /CyanogenMod Updates / Update Types -- select New Nightlies and select the latest -- no need for all the clearing of cache, or anything else REALLY GREAT FEATURE,, DAZZ!! i was REALLY pleased the first time i did this

  IF you haven't installed R4 before, just flash it as usual, but without a lot of what you mention:

  flash the rom

  factory reset

  wipe cache / wipe dalvik cache (some people recommend doing this "double wipe" three times)

  reboot

  LEAVE YOUR SD CARD ALONE -- NO NEED TO FORMAT IT -- DO YOU WANT TO LOSE EVERYTHING ON IT ???????

  and battery stats are for another purpose entirely -- what apps are using the most power, so you can set something to turn them on and off when you want, to save on battery consumption

  or have I misunderstood what you want to do?

  and your network and booting problems are separate issues from the ROM installation (although maybe a problem from past installation problems)

After two days waiting I send a "urgent" mail and I have answer in 24h but with an "invalid key". Another mail with all infos and picture of the mobile's stiker (under battery) and I have de good code in one hour! :wub:

lately many ppl have posted on this I think it's got to do with the latest changes in the nightly releases.... The best solution would probably be to wait... for just get an older nightly release... I don't have it tho so you could ask around.

I'm afraid so, in some ways there's no such thing as a good ROM, the question is: does it do what I want, and still provide good performance on my equipment -- custom ROMs try to make the most of the hardware we have, but are tied to limitations in the ROM used to control them. Lag has always been a problem with JB ROMs and kyan "got around this" by including the ICS camera app in his (very good, imo) Electra ROM, but this is now not supported (you'll know kyan from the extremely intrusive advertising in the previous post)

BUT THEN you'll be stuck with the loss of advancements in the camera app that came with JB -- you can't have both at the same time, sfaik -- but there was a patch, I think, to the Electra ROM to permit Photosphere -- not sure about that, but you can explore the Electra ROM on the MoDaCo forums.

If you want the camera apk from the electra rom you can get it from the actual rom itself [in zip folder under data\app\camera.apk and install the apk(it might not work i'm not sure)].

well, sorry to have to tell you this, but this is the REAL world, and nothing in this life is perfect "free from bugs", your best bet IMHO is to go for an ICS ROM, BUT you won't have ALL the features of JB, but it has the potential to be more "stable" -- something like Lightning might be a good idea, but I'm not an expert so can only speak in terms of reputation --

so you have to choose what features you want, and swallow the bugs "they're full of protein" :-D

(opportunities for learning, anyhow)

Incidentally, as people have said before you DO have camera in CM10.1, but you might not have the particular facility / performance you want -- what sort of subjects do you want to photograph?

-- maybe you need a good SLR if it's all that important, and then you can spend as much as you want getting all the lenses and fancy gizmos you want for those "all important" shots

and there're innumerable apps for adjusting in-call volume, so the responsibiity, and choice, and time to make use of those learning opportunities is YOURS

Thanks for re-posting that series of links -- I think the great majority of "visitors" benefit from this information.

Pity about the advertising though -- does that have to come through with EVERY one of your posts????

AND if photography is all THAT important to you, you bought the wrong device -- get a good higher-end Samsung, or another higher-end model better suited to the task, not a cheaper lower-end phone like the G300 whivh is passable, at best, in good outdoor lighting. sfaik all the camera apps mentioned previously are still dependent on the camera app in the ROM for basic camera functions -- certainly, Cymera, which was mentioned has the same lag as the ROM itself -- iow NOT for capturing "the moment".

True, nice app in many ways --- not the cheapest, and doesn't support video, and the resolution of the free version isn't as good as the paid version -- speaking of which, what's the resolution of this ROM -- that was one of the "problems" with Electra -- again, it depends on the particular features one's interested in.
