I bought a San Diego yesterday and it comes with Orange ICS, I want to debrand it but I can't root it, how do I downgrade it to Orange Gingerbread.

You can't downgrade to GB, you need to use the AIO tool to downgrade to the original ICS presuming you have the latest OTA update on the phone. Then you can root and debrand.

How do I do that, I tried the AIO tool to "Downgrade from 27MB ICS" and it failed:

*edit* Nevermind, installing Xolo ICS from AIO tool via recovery worked, managed to root it.

According to another thread, you can downgrade; you just erase the system partition, using fastboot, first, which makes sense.
