Following on from their acquisition of Quickoffice back in June last year, Google have finally put their own stamp on the application, offering tight Google Drive integration, dropping the purchase price to zero and offering a limited-time offer of 10GB free extra Google Drive space for 2 years!

Available now from the Play Store and also available for iOS, Quickoffice allows you to edit Microsoft Office documents, spreadsheets and presentations on your Android phone and tablet. It's also a decent PDF viewer!

To grab your free additional drive space, simply sign in to your Google Account from the new Quickoffice app by September 26, 2013. The free space will be added 'in the next few weeks'.

Unbelievable that the app has the menu button of shame on my HTC One.

More unbelievable that it can't edit Drive documents, only MS Office documents that have been uploaded to Drive.

Editing a spreadsheet on a phone screen.  Only if you wish to lose the will to live.
