I'm facing some issues on my Acqua.

On the last versions (20.3 and after) from time to time my wifi gets stuck.  It reports that is connected and the wifi settings page shows a snapshot of networks that the phone has seen sometime in the recent past.  All with signal levels and encryption details.

Most of the time switching off and on wifi will resume normal operation but occasionally the phone needs a restart.

 

I have installed the relevant acqua patch - otherwise wifi does not work at all.

I've learned to live with this, is not a big deal and got used to it.  When I don't have incoming data I check the wifi page and if I see the ghost then I switch off and on.

 

In last version 7.6 I see also a bluetooth range problem.  For some reason the BT range has been reduced considerably in this version.  I'm sure you will say you did not touch this part of code, but I can see the difference just by loading back 21.5. !!!

 

With 21.5 I have my phone of the back seat of my car and it works.  With 7.6 at the exact same position I have brake ups in sound and sometimes is not even connecting.  Both versions I did a wipe before installation and I re-paired the devices.

Could you at least post logs? What am I supposed to do on an issue I can't reproduce on a device that I don't have?

 

Just because I haven't touched some code, doesn't mean someone else didn't. There was plenty of bluetooth updates in 4.4.3 alone and what ever changes may have come from CM upstream.

 

I know that this may not be the best place to put in such a request but KonstaT is the best person for this task(I think). So I had a task manager app which was a system app in my stock ROM(The google play task killers can suck it's d**k). It won't install on 4.4.3 so I was hoping that KonstaT would fix the compatibility issue

Hell no, not going to happen. Task managers/killers are the cancer of Android and you most definitely shouldn't use any! Android system is more than capable of doing the memory management and closing unused apps when it needs the memory. Any free RAM is wasted RAM from this perspective. If you need to close an app, you can do it from the recent apps view.

 

Where do I look for the way to fix the front facing camera that sideways is upside down?

Nowhere, and you're about eight months late with this anyway. I tried to something about this last fall but anyone who had an Acqua (you included iirc) didn't give a f*ck at the time...

....i have one problem...wifi is a disconnected many times without reason...signal is good,but wifi is disconnected over and over again. Any solution?

 

 

 

I can't reproduce such issue. You need to provide appropriate logs (logcat, dmesg) of this happening. Make sure that you do this after a clean install (following instructions on the third post). Also you shouldn't restore any system data using apps like Titanium Backup or even restore wifi passwords using Google backup.

I'm pretty sure front camera was working fine. I have plenty of my kids selfies that prove this. I remeber some modification sometime ago but last couple of versions I did not use front camera.  So I don't know when this broke.

 

Since day one  the main camera is odd, it shows pictures correct but saves them upside down in most camera apps. But I rarely take pictures so this is not a big deal for me.

 

As for my BT short range problem, I will try to get a log but I'm not getting any errors.  When I'm under 50 cm or so it works great.  Above that is not connecting or has brakes in sound if it manages to connect.

Task manager like one in stock rom on zte blade 3.. Because i can't kill aplications, and games like Subway Surf and etc are pretty laggy :/

Just use greenify to stop apps from taking up too much ram all the time,like Facebook.And you can kill apps by long pressing the back button if you enable it in developers settings.It should be the last one. Edited June 16, 2014 by Something Wierd

I have noticed only one problem with wi-fi so I would like to ask here if you or anybody else have experienced the same.

 

It seems that if you set wi-fi on "keep wi-fi on during sleep only when plugged in" or "never", and leave the phone for 19 minutes (NOT plugged in), after that when it wakes it doesn't start wi-fi automatically. And if you try to enter the wi-fi settings, the wi-fi crashes (you end up at home screen with message that settings has stopped responding or something like that). The only way to make it work again is to do wi-fi off / wi-fi on before entering the wi-fi settings. After that wi-fi starts to work normally and you can without any problem enter the wi-fi settings and it doesn't crash any more (until you left the phone to sleep again for more than 19 minutes). If you use your phone before 19th minute has expired than wi-fi works normally.

That's the approximate time when I have waked the phone and where it should start the wi-fi, so I believe this messages have something to do with it.

 

I reinstalled 4.4.3. twice - it happenes every time.

In Contacts, when I select the first entry ("Me"), Contacts crashes.

 

 

Does it happen on clean install also? Is there maybe some special characters that phone can't handle? I see "too many SQL variables" error in your log. I don't know if that is important or not, but I would try with clean instal, without entering anything else in my contact list except that first contact ("Me") and I would enter only some simple name (for example "Joe") - nothing else, and than see if it would crash again this time. If not, I would enter the rest of data little by little and see when it would crash again. That's very time consuming approach but that's how I do it when I don't understand why is something happening (I used the same approach few posts above with my wi-fi problem which obviously only I have...)

Well it worked when I first did clean install on kitkat, now there's some stupid app or cyanogenmod bug which is causing this. Maybe related (something creating circles):
