Guest Athernet
Still without any news? I thinked that if Ceastel can't do it or answer us, maybe is good to ask developers that already have been ported ubuntu touch for another devices. They know much better the problems that they will find if they are agree to port it for our g510

Guest Ceastel
I don't have anymore linux vm , ubuntu files and free space on disc. Next problem is that at the moment my internet is very limited. I also have another smartphone (but I didn't sold y300 yet). In any case the biggest problem is time, I'm kinda busy and I totally don't have free time for this kind of work ... I probably won't able to help you in near future... Sorry guys  Greetings Ceastel

Guest adeii
Yes, thats right. No more ubuntu touch that can be build with CM10/11 tree, we got UB ports or Halium to build for 5.1 and 7.1 tree. Hybris-boot has "normal" size about 5MB, but final Halium-boot has 9.5MB, and boot size is only 8MB. Upon decompiling boot, no symlinking in /bin and /xbin from busybox, but many command use copy of busybox, each of 252KB. On recompiling, boot grows to 37MB!!!! Is there any why to move busybox and/or wifi modules outside of boot.img and use it from /cache or /system or /data or even /sbin ?! 1) halium root.img is about 1GB, android 5.1 system.img is smaller than 50MB, but boot.img needs repartitioning (bigger boot, from recovery, cache and cust) 2) ub-port, ubuntu touch 16.04 xenial root.img is 3GB (need to switch /data to 4GB external sd or at least 4GB /sd-ext2 ), system.img and boot.img same as above.
